Unfolding the Future with Unstoppable Domains: Innovations and the Rise of Web3 Domains
What if a simple domain could revolutionize your digital experience? This episode promises to deliver an insightful conversation, as we sit down with Unstoppable Domains and their COO, Sandy Carter. We dissect major strides in the domain space, including Freename's $2.5 million seedround and Namebase's introduction of their HNS ID. Our guests, Collectxr, Phil aka Phil.x, and Sandy, equip us with a comprehensive understanding of web3 domain utility and its promising trajectory.
We then zoom in on Unstoppable Domains' transformative updates and feature introductions. Imagine buying dot eth domains with just a credit card or PayPal, storing them in a vault sans a crypto wallet, and having an auto-renewal system at your disposal. Sounds like something out of a futuristic movie, right? But it's happening right now. We also shine a light on the significance of efficient communication, discussing their newly introduced peer-to-peer messaging through XMTP and the upcoming business-to-user messaging with Push Protocol.
In our last segment, we navigate the enticing world of dot x domains, with celebrities like Eva Longoria and Paris Hilton already on board. We compare and contrast the dynamics of Web 2 and Web 3, emphasizing the latter's commitment to catering to individuals rather than businesses. Wrapping up our discussion, we turn our eyes to the future of web3 domains and their potential to become an everyday online commodity. Join us on this enlightening journey to discover how web 3 domains could potentially mold the future of online identity and communication.

Time for the edible.
Speaker 2:Hello, hello everyone. We will get started in just a moment, just sharing the space around. If you could, all in the space, do me a big favor, go down to that bottom right hand corner, see that bubble, if you could like to retweet the space. Let's get as many people in here as possible. We've got a special space as a day Big shout out to thank you to our guest. And yeah, we'll get into it in just a moment.
Speaker 3:Gm, gm, thank you, iheartdomains, for hosting this space. This is crazy. Right now I'm on a space, I'm on a call, but I had to come up here and be up here with domain greatness. What's good? Iheartdomains Unstoppable. Ayo, see name of tips. I know this is going to be a great conversation.
Speaker 4:Yeah, definitely it's got to be a good.
Speaker 2:Definitely, definitely. Thank you everybody on stage for being on. Also welcome, unstoppable. I'm not sure who is behind the what do you call it? The profile today. So if you'd like to say hi real quick, it'd be awesome.
Speaker 5:GM, gm. Hey everyone, my name is Phil, aka Philx. I'm just here supporting today and we're going to have, I think, our COO Sandy Carter joining momentarily, so it should be a really fun one, and thank you for having us.
Speaker 2:Yes, sir, definitely. Thank you guys for being kind enough to come on and share some of the alpha what's going on with Unstoppable. It's definitely been a lot really over the past few months. I feel like almost every space somehow some way ends up talking about something new that you guys have put out, so definitely good to condense it all into one space and hear what else is going on. Yeah, wow, oh yeah, I see Miss Sandy is just coming into the space now. So, yeah, again want to remind everybody that's coming into the space now. If you guys could please go down to the bottom right hand corner, like and retweet share the spaces out. Yeah, we're going to get started here in just a moment while everybody else gets acclimated to the space.
Speaker 2:A couple things that I wanted to do before we get started. In the subject matter itself, I wanted to send out a couple of shout outs. As we do this space every week, there's a little bit of time in between and in that short period of time, it seems like everybody we're involved with has a lot of announcements, so it's good to cover some of them at the beginning of each space. The first and obvious one is now spent from Free Name earlier, who just completed their $2.5 million seat round. So congrats on that and definitely looking forward to seeing how they continue to build and the direction they go without. And also wanted to send a shout out to Namebase, who just launched their hnsid. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Namebase, it is one of the largest well, it is the largest platform for handshake domain registration, so if you guys are not already familiar with the platform, check them out and catch up on that news. But yeah, with that being said, I'm going to go ahead and start the spaces and introduce my guests.
Speaker 2:Thank you guys for attending another I Heart Demains and Main Street Tech Talk. We have done about 50 of these since last November. We do these spaces every single week highlighting Web3Domain utility, builders, alpha, anything that's going on in the space, to keep people abreast and building alongside us while the Web3Domain space continues to grow. Our co-host is typically Main Street, as you see, the I Heart Demains and Main Street. My partner is currently traveling right now, so he wasn't able to be here. Mr Main Street, tony. But as always, where you see us, you see them. Where you see them, you see us. Topic of our Tech Talk today is Web3Domain utility in the future of Digital ID? We have on board our special guests, unstoppable Domains, and now that I see that Sandy has come on stage, how are you doing today?
Speaker 6:Well, good morning, we are doing Good morning.
Speaker 3:Good morning. I love that. Oh, that was great.
Speaker 6:I love it. I love it. I'm doing great. It's a great Wednesday. It seems like it is a Tuesday to me just because we here in the US had Labor Day Off, which was so extremely nice. But I'm doing great. I'm already having a great day. I already had my cup of tea and set and ready to go.
Speaker 2:For some reason, to me today seems like it's later in the week, almost like it's a Friday. I actually, right after this space, have to go up to Austin, so I'll be travelable a little bit today, not too much for another domain-related meeting, but it has been a good day and the holiday was certainly nice. I also want to introduce the speakers that we have up on stage. Much love to them for always coming and supporting spaces. First and foremost, we've got Collector up on the stage. How are you doing today, sir?
Speaker 3:Oh, good sir, Of course we've got to be here and support the homies building with domains. There's a very small number of us that are very, very, very bullish on web-free domains and I had to come up here and be up here with I Heart Domains Unstoppable, miss Sandy Nametips.
Speaker 6:Oh my God, oh my God, okay, now, here, now you guys, you guys didn't tell me you had someone with such a great accent that was going to be on with me. You know he's going to steal the show with that gorgeous accent. You know what I mean.
Speaker 3:Ma'am, you're making me blush and I'm actually like on a Google call right now as well, but I had to come in here and to support the homie when, so I didn't even meant to be here. But I'm here with you right now and that's all that matters.
Speaker 2:Again really appreciated. As always, we've been definitely bouncing off each other for quite some time. So, yeah, thank you very much for coming on and yeah, I guess, sandy, this is your first introduction to Collector.
Speaker 3:Also would like to. Surprisingly, she was following me already, so she might have seemed like when I doxed myself or something before.
Speaker 6:We can't tell.
Speaker 2:And then also I would like to welcome and thank our guest and co-host, neighbor, tips, for being on stage. How?
Speaker 4:you doing today, chris? I am doing well. It is such a pleasure to be here with everyone. This is going to be exciting. It's good to have Sandy unstoppable and everyone that has tuned in. Although we're starting off on what feels like the middle of the week is really exciting. Web3 is thrusting us all forward.
Speaker 2:Definitely is Every day there. It's really a good time because, especially for those who have been in the space for a while Again, we've talked about it before there have been periods where kind of we're skipped over, ignored, and now we're starting to see all of these announcements and the people coming into the space and getting bullish on it. So it's been a good time. I've been told you so about it. So definitely good to be where we are at right now and in the path where we're continuing to go. And then, last but not least, what's going on, mr AU?
Speaker 7:I'm on the same page as everybody else right now, just catching up with everything I was supposed to do yesterday. It's Wednesday. There's construction outside. It's really annoying. I don't even think they're working, but it's great to be here. I guess I'll represent Main Street today. But, yes, good to be here. And don't worry, collectors voice, it'll get all real fast, hmm.
Speaker 2:His voice never gets old. And yeah, and for those of you who may not already know, I know miss Sandy has already introduced herself and she certainly doesn't need an additional introduction, but I'm going to do it anyway. She is the CEO of unstoppable domains and the visionary behind Very blessed to have her in this space and Everyone who is in this space I hope you're paying attention we are very blessed again, as I've mentioned, to have builders and people at this level from these different protocols. Come on these spaces and give us you know how can information directly. So take advantage of it as, while we can, this is a very privileged place, place to be in the space. So, yeah, thank you once again, miss Sandy, for coming on. And then, if you could do us a humongous favor for those who may also be new To unstoppable, which I doubt there's many, give us a beef background on unstoppable and kind of the position that it currently holds in the web three domains base.
Speaker 6:Sure, I'd be happy to do that. So, as you just heard, on the COO for unstoppable domains, and unstoppable domain is a is a Digital identity platform. We were founded in 2018 and Our mission is to get a digital identity into the hands of everybody on the face of the planet. Now, what is a Web three digital identity? Well, it's minted on the blockchain and it gives people full ownership and control of their identity with no renewal fees. So, instead of my favorite example is our first use case Instead of having a string of 21 Alphanumeric characters for your crypto address, you can have this human readable name like sandy dot x or you know, I heart domain Domains, dot x. You can use that, that human readable name must like.
Speaker 6:We went through the transition with the internet itself, but you can also do a lot more with it. You can transact with over 860 different applications and wallets and exchanges and marketplaces, etc. So it it really opens up a door, really disrupts what's happening today and web to as well. We were made a unicorn, so we did. We did do our unicorn rays and we were named by Forbes is one of the best start-up employers. And 2022 and 2023. So that's just like, I think, a great summary. What do you think about you want me to go deeper, or does that? Is that good for right now?
Speaker 2:Oh, we'll go deeper in just a moment, and that was perfect and You'll have to get used to.
Speaker 2:Sound effects during the space, they're cuted first. I Also want to remind everybody in the space, if you've been in the space before, as you guys know, all of our spaces are EMAs. If you do have any questions, you're not currently on the stage and want to come up to speak, please request a speaker roll and we will give you time at the end of the space to ask your question, and then, obviously, to the guests that are currently on stage. If you guys have any questions at any point, just raise your hand and let's get into it. And yeah, so again, thank you for that. That was perfect.
Speaker 2:As, as I mentioned before, the topic of the spaces is web three, domain utility and the future of digital identity. You guys have definitely been at the forefront of introducing a lot of what that utility could look like, not only now, but even for people speculating the future. So I want to talk about some of it. I want to talk about some of the latest updates and additions that you guys have added to your platform. I know over the past couple weeks, you guys have done quite a few spaces talking about things such as the the credit for anybody who Was currently a customer of unstoppable. You guys have probably heard of and used your credit by now to add some additional grail domain to your portfolio. But that's not all a lot of other things that you guys have added to your platform. I kind of wanted to cover it and get your input and kind of your insight as to why you guys chose to implement these things and then, obviously, the value that it Will give to us as holders in the future. So let's let's start with right. So For anybody who's been in the space for a long period of time you, it's probably long been held the opinion of the two giants in the space are E&S and unstoppable.
Speaker 2:Anytime you go to, anytime you go to any event, you see banners or anything where they're incorporating digital ID. Usually see those two Icons on those banners. So, with that being said, the decision for you guys to incorporate being able to not only register but also manage certain aspects of the dot e Names was was a very big deal. It's something I Don't know. Maybe I wasn't paying attention enough, but I don't think I saw it coming before it came and it was very much Delightful surprise. So can you tell us a little bit about the decision to tonight only an adding dot e To, I guess, the registration side of unstoppable. It's kind of just the beginning. You guys are adding other to these as well. But what was the inspiration behind? You know, starting off with the dot e, and if you can go into a little bit about what additional utility you guys are able to offer holders of dot e that choose to to manage their domains on your platform?
Speaker 6:Yeah, I'd love to so. Well, you know, we believe very firmly that web3 is a web3 inclusive space, and so we kept noticing a lot of back-and-forth and friction between the two, and that's not good for anybody in the web3 space. We need to come together to get you know the billions of web2 users to come over to web3, versus having two web3 companies fight together. So we decided that we would support Become a registrar, if you would, for dot e on our site. That was really important, because what we were really looking to do is to ensure that Unstoppable domains became like that one-stop shop for web3 domain so you could go one place and Buy any, hopefully one day, web3 domain that you'd like to buy, and we felt, like dot e, it would be the first one that we'd like to bring Onto our space. Because of the friction and because, as you said, you know you've got number one. We have 3.8 million domains and, in essence, number two. What better way than to bring number one and number two, to have the ability to buy both at one time? Now, this didn't just come out of thin air. We had a lot of our Users, a lot of our whales, a lot of our partners asked for this as well. So I'll give you an example today, 11% of all Fortune 100 companies have an unstoppable domain they weren't able to get at the same time they're getting you know my big company dot crypto, dot NFT, dot X. They weren't able to get dot e at the same time. They would have to go to transactions or, worse yet, a lot of these web2 companies aren't allowed to transact in crypto and so couldn't get their name Dot e if by themselves, they had to go through a third party. And so our first announcement we introduced the ability to buy dot e on our website and not just buy it, but also be able to buy it with a credit card, which opened up a door for, hopefully, a lot of new Dot e users, hopefully coming in from web2. We also announced the ability to store that in a vault, so you didn't actually have to have a crypto wallet to store it Another. You know you guys have gone through this.
Speaker 6:I just I'll just tell you a funny story. I was just teaching I'm an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon and I was teaching. They wanted me to teach the students there. You know how to go out, get crypto from an exchange, put it in a wallet get a domain. I had an hour and a half class planned. We finished in 20 minutes for the students at Carnegie Mellon. I did the same class for a group of chief digital officers. So these are CDOs from Fortune 500 companies. So these are super smart people and technology savvy. It took me the full hour and a half and we never got five people Over the line. They were never able to get their wallet set up.
Speaker 6:It's hard getting that wallet set up, and so we felt like being able to have that first study that you could purchase with PayPal Place in a vault, not have to have a crypto wallet, would be an easy first step. And then we also kept hearing in fact we heard it from reporters when we were briefing them on the news. Oh man, I got my, you know, sandy dot eave, but it expired. I didn't know I lost it. And so that you know, that ability to auto renewal wasn't there. And so our first announcement we also announced auto renewal, so Announcing dot eave on our site, being able to be purchased Using a credit card or PayPal story in a vault and being able to auto renewal. That was the kind of our first big announcement.
Speaker 6:And then we decided, as we were listening to other users, they started asking for more things. Can I buy in bulk? Well, today on the NS site you can't buy in bulk and we really wanted to be able to enable People to buy in bulk. So we've added the ability that you can now buy dot eave than bulk and you still get the auto renewal. You still can do with PayPal a whole line yards. But that's not all.
Speaker 6:We also announced more things. We announced the ability to use dot eave to log into unstoppable apps. So that added. You know we have about 520 unstoppable apps that are out there, so now you could use sandy dot eave to log into those apps. You can build your own unstoppable profile, which means you can have that, that profile picture, connect socials. The big benefit there is you don't have a gas fee. So if you go out and you look at, like my Sandra Carter dot eave and that picture, that picture cost me about 30 bucks to put that picture on my eave profile because of all the gas fees. When you do that with unstoppable, there are no gas fees required.
Speaker 6:And then you know, given that we've also integrated with Everything else going on, you can do those alerts on the iPhone. You can do those alerts on your you know Android coming, android coming soon. So there's lots of different things you can do with dot eave. So we wanted to make sure that, as we introduced this, these new identity features would make that Dot eave experience even better than what you have today In support of the entire web 3 industry. We also have a lot of other features that we've added. We also have another announcement that's coming out today, but it's coming out at nine Pacific so I can't share it until 9am. So maybe the very last thing we'll do is I'll share that, that information as some alpha here on this call to Well, yeah, uh, definitely, hopefully, everybody stays tuned for that information.
Speaker 2:now You've got me sitting here in suspense and yet you just said a lot, and obviously, obviously, this is why we've been able to cover so much about, uh, what you guys have been releasing lately, um, and I wanted to get into a little bit of that. So, obviously, from a speculation standpoint, a lot of what we've talked about has been based on you know, how bullish we are about how, what this means for people coming to the ecosystem.
Speaker 2:Uh, like you said, obviously, when people are looking at the space, not only from the inside, we know what the players are but even from the outside Uh, the two players that are being projected, and probably the first place that a lot of people are seeing when they're learning about digital IB Uh is both you uh and ens. So, creating the ability to onboard users in an easier fashion than them having to go for the learning curve Of uh, crypto, setting up wallet, etc. Um, I think that's a humongous deal for the space. It is as you said.
Speaker 2:You know, it is hard for a lot of people, especially in certain you know uh the demographics, to learn how to interact with blockchain, how to set up wallets, how to get used to the concept of spending so much money on gas. Um, you know, once the thing is in their wallet, then they have to learn about the mechanics of NFTs and have to worry about private keys and things like that. And and although that's a place that we want everybody to eventually get, we all do have to start somewhere, and I think that a lot of platforms are so technical that they forget that, um, and I'm glad that you guys have never taken your eye off that ball by creating Again not only the UI for yourself, but extending that now to other extensions for people who want to get into the ecosystem. Um, I see you've got your uh. Hand up the number.
Speaker 4:Yes, I I didn't want to impede on all of what, all of the wonderful things that sandy was laying out, but I really think that it's important to highlight the emphasis that unstoppable was placing on Education, and sandy is, at heart, an educator and so she, when she made that reference about Uh, the corporate parties not necessarily Uh understanding it, that, just that, that, that acknowledgement there, just really say a lot about her commitment to the space and doing what, understanding the importance of doing what needs to be done to to make it easier for everyone. So I think that that's something to really commend unstoppable and sandy and the team for, because In web three it's going to be really important to be that bridge we talk a lot about on ramping. But being a bridge and understanding that education is an art is going to be key to success in this space.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we we've talked a million times about the importance of education.
Speaker 2:Obviously, you know my position in the space is to educate the best I can and, like I said, everyone has to start somewhere. Uh, giving people the opportunity to acquire their asset before they know what it is, uh to store it securely in somewhere like a vault before they understand what a wallet is and are able to transfer it themselves. It gives these corporations and these entities the time, uh to get that asset down and then learn Um, rather than having to learn at first to make those mistakes and then get turned off by the space Uh or by the technology to begin with. Um. So, like I said, as as time goes by, even with the vault, like I've known people, I've heard people criticize, you know kind of the vault and the purpose of it. But again, we're coming from a space where we all know, for the most part, how to interact with the blockchain. But when you're talking to your family, your siblings, other people who aren't as technologically advanced, this is perfect for them. This is, um, you know, the tool that'll help them feel safe and comfortable again while they land in space. Um also wanted to to talk about um, so you guys brought dot eth on board and I think you guys are amazing.
Speaker 2:Uh, there's also been talks about bringing dot sats on board and and I think I admitted in one of the Previous spaces and of course everybody that's in my community already knows, although I'm a relatively smart person, I think there was a learning curve for me to figure out how to mint dot sats and dot btc names and figuring out and understanding ordinals.
Speaker 2:And when you guys have made the announcement that you were going to incorporate the ability to Uh register dot sats domains in the same way as dot eth, I was actually excited because that was going to be my first entry into the uh, into that ecosystem.
Speaker 2:Now, since then, you know, I've bitten the bullet and I've learned how to mint names myself and and have actually kind of gone on a little run. But the same kind of example, being able to bring Uh people uh into an ecosystem or into a naming system that you know may have previously had a learning curve or a technological curve, uh, to figure out how to get these assets and you, you, you put yourself in a position where you do become that one-stop shop and that traffic that is coming to get into the web through domain space all starts there, which makes me now bullish on another thing, which is your profiles. Um, want you to tell me a little bit about uh, about the profiles themselves, so that people understand what they are and what they can do with their domains once they buy them from unstoppable Uh, but then also some of the utility that you guys have added into the profiles uh, like the messaging. Um, if you want to get into that just a little bit.
Speaker 6:Yeah, we are um. Can you hear me okay?
Speaker 2:Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 6:Okay, great, okay, sorry, I heard a click, so I just wanted to make sure. Yeah, so one of the uh other things that we kept noticing. Again, you know, I came from amazon web services and one of the big lessons I learned at amazon is always working backwards from the customer, always working backwards from the customer, and so one of the things we wanted to do is listen to see what our users were really interested in. Well, obviously, utility is really important. Utility is greater than hype. I love to say that utility is greater than height. So if you're using your digital identity or that domain every day, it's going to become essential to you, and we've got, you know today, 520 different apps. You know an email app that's encrypted, or a gaming leaderboard, or you know a way to do your taxes. There's so many different ways, but it still wasn't that essential way, and so we started talking to our users, our whales, our partners, and the big thing that came in coming back is we really need a way to message each other in the space, but we want to do it in an encrypted way because we're web 3, but it has to be easy because we've got these web 2 folks in. So we want it encrypted but easy, and we want to be a way to reach not just every unstoppable user but other users too.
Speaker 6:And so we started looking at messaging and really two types of messaging. One is peer to peer messaging where I can, you know, just um you know message both of you guys individually. And the other is business to user messaging. So let me let me focus first on peer to peer. So we just made the announcement that you could message anybody with an unstoppable domain Through xMTP, which is our partner messaging protocol that we've used, and now you can message anybody with an unstoppable domain, which means I get hundreds of messages every day now. So people are using that domain every day to message me, to get ahold of me, to make sure I understand what's happening. But again, listening to our customers, not just messaging me with an unstoppable domain. Um, lens lens protocol also has a very cut up social, decentralized social platform. You can message anybody with a lens profile. You can also message anybody with a coin based wallet. You can message anybody with converse. So now you're opening up the realm not just a 3.8 million users of unstoppable, but all the users of lens protocol and coin based wallet and converse and more to come, and that was a really big announcement. And to prove that we could drink our own champagne, as I like to say, instead of eat our own dog food. Um, so that we could drink our own champagne.
Speaker 6:We wanted to set up a messaging app for customer support, and so, um many of you I know who came in that first day to try out messaging, the first thing you got was a welcome message from our Support application that said hey, welcome. If you want to ask us a quick question, ask us here. We've already gotten in one week we got 7500 messages overall and a thousand messages to our support structure, which yielded higher Satisfaction because you got your message answered really quick. Um, and my team, my customer support team, loved it too, because they didn't have to open a ticket for every question that came in, even if it was a simple yes, that's the way it works, or no, we can't do that. They didn't have to open a ticket, it was just flowing through that, that messenger.
Speaker 6:So that was our first big announcement was on peer to peer. Let me pause there before I go on to business to user. Does that make sense to everybody? Any questions on the peer to peer before I go on to what I think is even More exciting. If it could be, which is business to user, I wonder how many I said gm back to the ai.
Speaker 7:It was like good morning. I was like, oh, good morning. I wonder how many you guys got back.
Speaker 6:Oh we didn't even count all of those. We got tons of those, which is cool, right, like it also starts that engagement and building that community. It's pretty cool.
Speaker 4:It is, it is and you know I get from, I get from everything that you just stated a real big emphasis on efficient communication, and that's really important.
Speaker 6:Yeah, especially for customer support, you know, yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 2:One of those messages definitely came from me and I definitely had a positive experience using the app for the first time or using the Messaging for the first time. So, again, encouraging anybody. If you haven't already logged into your unstoppable domain and your platform or your profile, please do so. Yeah, continue on.
Speaker 6:Yeah, so that was the first, the first kind of push out, you know. So that was that was. That was great, and we're having a lot of fun with peer-to-peer. I think the bigger one is we announced that we are going to have here coming up shortly, the ability to do business to user. Now, business to user will be done with another messaging protocol called push protocol. Now you may be wondering well, why are you using to wire, using XMTP and and push? Well, there isn't a standard out there today and we want to actually support as many messaging protocols as possible, because that enables all of you, all of our users, all of our whales, to be able to message more and more people. We can hide the complexity of whether it's push or XMTP, but it brings in now not just the partners of XMTP, but now also the partners of push. So why do I think business to user is going to be even more impactful?
Speaker 6:Well, let's talk again about that web 2 Company or web 3 group who really wants to engage their users. How do you do that today? Well, you can use discord. I don't know about you guys, but I find discord Very, very, very hard. It's just it's difficult to keep in touch with everybody and everything and everything going on. I can also use Telegram, which, again, you know, if I have different tribes of my community, I think I woke up this morning, I cleared everything out. Last night, I went, I went to bed, woke up, you know, seven hours later and I had another 641 messages that were all over the place. So it's really hard to manage it. But what if I could communicate with just a tribe or just a sub community? Wouldn't that be really powerful. Well, that's what our business to user messaging is going to enable.
Speaker 6:You can go into any of the badges, or I consider the badges a set of sub communities.
Speaker 6:Each of the badges has criteria you have to have at least five dot polygons, you have to have so many npt's, you have to have raised this car around the metaverse racing track and if you belong to that community, now the owner of the community can message Everybody in the community. Just think about how powerful this is. We were talking about four events. You know an event manager can now message everybody who's coming to that event and saying you know, go over here, we're doing autographs, or go here, we're now, you know, the DJs starting to play, or go here. Or if you're a CEO, let's say you're send deep from polygon and you want all of your inner circle to know something ahead of time you can now go message that badge holder and let them know something's coming, or give them an extra discount, for example. I think this is going to be really powerful and every web 2 brand I've shown it to you Just drools at the engagement factor. There really isn't anything like this for web 2. You know that exists in the marketplace today.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I Absolutely agree With the importance of having this type of utility and even so, coming from the perspective of someone who has a community, the ability to message a small core group based on those, even if it's just message the entire community in general, push messaging in itself is very effective form of marketing. You know, obviously it's used on the web 2 side through SMS, but being able to do it through, like I said, encrypted direct, using these profiles, not only Creates a powerful tool in the messaging itself, it also creates a powerful tool in the profile, because now People who are members of the community know daily to go and interact and check your profile, may pay attention more to the stuff that you're able to host on your profile. Looking at the profiles themselves, I was very impressed with the sections that are on there and I'm gonna experiment a little more, especially in the future. Is, you know, those sections begin to optimize and we're able to advertise More things that are directly related to the community so that, in essence, becomes a community hub. So, yeah, extremely bullish on that and Hopefully anybody who's in the space has been looking for a similar utility.
Speaker 2:It's caught on that. This is something that's coming. I see you've got your hand up again, mr Tips.
Speaker 4:Yes, that the push messaging is definitely a major utility, especially when you, when you talk about our Relationship dynamic with things like phone numbers and how a phone number is really connected to just the device that you're holding. But With your, your name, your digital identity, your unstoppable name, you can be reached Everywhere essentially through that one name, and so there's a lot of convenience baked in there.
Speaker 6:I Be in there. That was a nice little playback.
Speaker 4:No instant add what I was like. What the heck? Yeah, I don't know what it was it was.
Speaker 2:It was so good we had to hear it twice.
Speaker 7:Thank you, Melissa yeah.
Speaker 4:Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 6:It was, maybe it was just it was so good we had to hear it twice.
Speaker 2:Also, while we have Quite a few new people up on stage as well as new people in the space, I just want to take this opportunity to re-welcome everyone to our I Heart Domains and Main Street Tech Talk. We are privileged to have Miss Sandy on stage from unstoppable, giving us all the alpha about what three to main utility. Again want to remind everybody, if you haven't already done so, please like between shared space For those who are up on stage. If you guys have any questions, any input now ask Miss Sandy questions. Feel free To raise your hand, one of the things I saw the AO just posted up at the top. Oh yeah, I see we've got a hand up. Let's go to that first and then I'll get into that. What's going on? Store work.
Speaker 10:Oh, hello, thanks, win for hosting a space. Hi, Sandy, I've seen you around and Like your videos and your content. I feel like a celebrity.
Speaker 6:Nice to finally, you made, you made my made my Wednesday, thank you.
Speaker 10:Thank you. Thank you for the information. I have one question. I haven't heard it so forgive me if you guys probably already discussed this, but the dot-x domain Will that be like the standard for unstoppable, because I see a lot of you know information around dot-x and everyone's got x.
Speaker 6:Yeah, so, so I think this is really a A great, great comment. So right now, our number one domain is actually dot crypto being in the most purchased domains. But when, when Twitter rebranded?
Speaker 3:Sorry, sandy, I just want to actually come in this moment because it's like so perfect. You said dot cryptos, your strongest domain. Then you said when, when, if anything Unstoppable domain that you recently purchased.
Speaker 2:Well, you know, considering that a lot of people do like to purchase crypto, purchase that crypto would have been an appropriate one.
Speaker 3:Sorry, Sandy, you may continue. I just needed when to see the main picture.
Speaker 6:Yeah, there you go. Great, Great, great Thanks win. When Twitter decided to rebrand and you know, they really made the decision that they were going to rebrand on Monday over a weekend, I Act and we I usually never bother my team on the weekends, but on Sunday I said, oh my god, they're gonna rebrand to x on Monday. Let's do a campaign around dot x and we'll do it Monday. You know, we're not related or linked to Twitter, but we actually have the trademark. We filed for the trademark for dot x in 2018 and so you know, and obviously is different than X, and so we decided to start marketing Dot X on Monday and I really did it as an experiment. Oh my gosh, it took off like wildfire. So now we have 280,000 dot x domains out there. It is, right now, I would say, the preferred domain. It is the highest price domain. Now. It has been for a while because a lot of the celebrities like, if you remember, eva Ligoria did dot x, paris Hilton did dot x, so we've had several celebrities do the dot x and so, because of that, we, you know, we went out there and started talking about dot x.
Speaker 6:So I wouldn't say I would say that right now, a lot of people's prediction is dot x will be the new calm. But, just like you know, in the web to world, you've got dot x. I mean sorry, you got dot AI, you got calm, you got dot edu, you got org. We believe that you'll even have more TLDS and web 3, because if you think about the difference between web 2 and web 3, web 2 was primarily selling to businesses, and there what 200 300 million businesses out there. Web 3 is selling to Individuals, so there's five billion people in the world. So you've got such a bigger market. You're not going to be able to have one like just dot eat or just dot x or just dot crypto. You're going to have multiples, and so for us, we love dot x, it's one of my very favorites, but it won't be the only one that will be a winner. I don't believe in the space. Okay, thank you.
Speaker 2:Go for an image.
Speaker 4:You know I have a question for for you, sandy, but I want to commend you on something that you just stated. You just emphasize the people, which is something that on our end we discuss a lot with regard to web 2, kind of Alienating the people in favor of kind of catering to businesses. So just to hear you State that, I think that that should be reassuring for everyone that's listening. That unstoppable is Is not only because you can cater to the people and not have to alienate the businesses, and with web 3, I think that this is an opportunity to get it right, so kind of piggybacking off of that. I have a question regarding dot go. I see you guys are doing something that we commonly see in the web 2 space by doing a Sunset period for the registration of the names. Would you mind elaborating a little bit more on what the plans for the dot go extension are?
Speaker 6:Yeah, so we decided to do a sunrise period for dot go. We were, you know, we talked about how we decided to buy dot go. We felt like it was a phenomenal TLD and so we decided to do a sunrise period, which means that you can buy the domain right now. I think the sunrise period was 90 days and then you'll get to mint it after 90 days, and so part of that was to build up excitement and energy. Part of it was because it was a new domain for us in the marketplace that we wanted to build that up. And again, you know, back to you know, we're not like web 2, where we're serving to 200, 300 million companies. We're serving 5 billion people. We wanted to make sure there were lots of different choices out there For people and go go has a lot of energy in it. Of course, I love go right Go has a lot of energy in it and I think it's gonna be, you know, again, another really popular TLD.
Speaker 7:Yeah, I was just saying what three over what's up? He's had it for a while so hey, what's up guys?
Speaker 8:TM, tm. I don't say GM, gm anymore, now that we got that X trademark. But um, yeah, I wonder.
Speaker 8:Yeah, I want to say those unstoppable credits, you know, in addition to um, you know, grabbing some more domain. I Think that the dot go is more closely resembled to the dot com than anything, but the dot X is more like a new level of identity where we have no idea where the top is for that. But, um, yeah, I just wanted to say that, in addition to getting some more domains, I've been going out and sponsoring different NFT communities, some that I hope NFTs for and some that I don't, and so I appreciate um you know that raining on us with those credits and I love the domain and I'm Getting ready to purchase a book. I haven't gotten there yet. I'd love for an audible version of it. Um, maybe we can get AI or something like that to put that together. I noticed some offers of speaking voices, I think that's yeah, I'm speaking to my editor tomorrow.
Speaker 6:So, um, about that, and I know I think, when also Volunteered, we might need, we might need a couple other voices to maybe a collector could do it, could do a couple of characters that are in the book.
Speaker 7:I can handle the southern states for sure.
Speaker 6:Um yeah so but they say we, I've got to sell so many books and then they'll do an audible. So I'm really pushing to sell a set of books because I do think Audible opens it up for so many more people. I I preferred. Well, I do both read and listen, but I probably listen more because I'm doing like I'm cleaning the house, I'm cooking dinner and I'm listening to a podcast or something as I'm doing that. So I think that's really cool. Well, there you go everybody.
Speaker 2:We have an obligation to help Get there. And yeah, as you guys are saying about the extension, that actually was one of my Questions, and a question that gets brought up often is what will be the ultimate web 3 extension. But the truth of the matter is that you can look at any of the extensions and you can find something that appeals To what you're trying to build, and that's the beauty of diversity and having choices, just like the dot go, as you said for, for something that conveys energy, something that has an immediate call to action. That sounds like a fun thing to drive traffic, but as well as dot x being that kind of executive handle, dot crypto, dot NFT for projects, things like that, there's a place for everyone. So, you know, I've always welcomed the ability to have choices and diversity, and which is why our portfolio is definitely diversified across all those extensions, and we were lucky enough to get web 3 identity, so I did to use that to put some idea out there and drive some traffic. Yes, ma'am, and then also yeah. So I'm actually going to get to the last question of the space. I think Everybody typically knows we like to keep these to about an hour so that they're digestible. I've gotten a lot of good information and want to open up for some more questions when we get towards end. So my Last question is actually kind of related to something that are a osho, which is a post that you made back in 2022.
Speaker 2:What says users will shift the thinking of their NFT domains as a username Instead of their wallet address, and I've mentioned before, like when a lot of us first came into the space, that was pretty much all they did, right, that was. That was basically our. Our value prop to other people is that these things will replace your wallet address and that's it. But, as we've seen, not only now but moving into the future, they've become so much more than that and even talking internally about all of the Different integrations that you guys have Leave, I was told the number as of now, as far as the axis, what close to 800 and 65.
Speaker 2:So my question is is that obviously, you guys, from the beginning, have seen the bigger picture of what web 3 domains in the space can be. You could get a little bit more of a Of what web 3 domains in the space can be. You you know, you've always known that they could be bigger than just something that will replace a wallet address. So Is 865 integrations enough? Uh, and how big of a deal are web 3 domains Do you feel? Are they positioned to be in the future as far as how we use them in everyday life?
Speaker 6:Yeah, this is a great question. I don't think 865 integrations is enough and that's why we keep working on More and more and more. But I also don't think it's just about the number. Um, I think, like you know, applications like messaging that you can use every day, that's got daily utility, would be rated higher than a. You know, let's say, we've integrated with tax applications, which I think are really important, but you basically use it once a year when you file your taxes, and so we we're constantly looking at what are you going to use on a daily basis, what are you going to engage with every day? That's really where we want to focus first, and then, what are you going to use, you know, long term? So we want both quality as well as quantity as we move forward.
Speaker 6:Interesting thing just some numbers that I think are, um, for me pretty interesting. You know we've talked about that very Um, that very first use case, right, which is always really important, and that's the ability to Change, to use sandy dot x for your you know, for your wallet address. So I took some. I look at some numbers this week. So every week right now, we receive 30 million resolution API calls, which means that Resolving a domain to its crypto address Happens almost 30 million times a week. That's 50 API calls every second, 24 hours a day. So think about that 50 API calls a second 24 hours a day, which just goes to show that typically your first use case is your strongest use case and for us it continues to be that. But we also look at people taking advantage. When you mention the profile updating your profile Every week, 7500 domain holders update that profile every week. They might add, like their, their new lens profile to it, or another npt or a new badge, but 7500 folks a week are doing that as well. And so we and we already talked about, you know, the 11% of all fortune 100 already have their domain. That are fortune 100 companies, so we're already seeing good utility.
Speaker 6:My goal is to continue to bump this up to where we're actually not talking about web 3 usage. We're just talking about, oh, you know, I did a transaction and behind the scenes we know that that was crypto to your domain, or oh, I sent you a message Did you get my message? Not who. I sent you a message using my unstoppable domain and push protocol so that we can get to that point where we're just talking about what we're trying to do versus that technology. That's when I think we've really made it. But again, hype, you know, utility is always greater Than hype.
Speaker 6:I will, I'll, attach this article in. I think it's really interesting to see the use cases. You know a lot of, a lot of folks, a lot of fudds out there and a lot of people will say there is no use case for web 3, or web 3 is dead, there's nothing going on and the numbers just don't show that, the facts just don't show that. So I'll I'll copy this up here for you so you guys can see it for yourself. It's really, I think, fascinating to see how much you guys and everybody else in the space are doing so far. And imagine, you know, now that we're united with Dot e, then we've got dot sats coming, those numbers will even just grow and grow and grow. Pretty soon It'll be ubiquitous.
Speaker 2:Yes, ma'am very bullish on the future and oftentimes people are looking for one-liners on how to explain web three domains, and here's another good one it's helping humanize the blockchain and web three. So, again, very grateful for all the different integrations and things that you guys put in a place to make it easier for this space to expand at the pace that we needed to. And yeah, I'm going to go to my speakers at our backstage to see we've got a couple hands up. Let's go to collector first and then we'll go to name your tips. Yes, I just mean a little bit quiet in the space.
Speaker 3:I just wanted to like give my little two cents. I'm not just on stage to gain clout from when space and stuff yeah, great stuff. I actually wanted to like circle back to something regarding like the messaging, and it's not just like what's it called push notifications. You can actually use this to Drive like NFT airdrops or even like token airdrops and stuff, and that could be a way to Like communities help monetize their community as well. So it's not just about like instant messaging. I think that's something that I've always been quite like bullish on. This is actually like the first time that Free name or on stage refund stoppable. So I just want to quickly like give free name a shout out as well. One thing you guys are saying about like cross-platform, like integrations Free names already got like, if anything, they can show themselves. So what's good for you now? What's good? Is my mic okay, because I'm on a different phone right now. Yes, man.
Speaker 2:Okay, thank you, collector for the space and, of course, when I'm saying thank you so much for being here.
Speaker 11:I just had a question. If you're open, speaking questions, is this something that we have time for? Yeah, go for it. Okay, so like.
Speaker 2:What, what free?
Speaker 11:utility do you think are there that are not fully optimized yet by what you do? Means Like? This is a general question. Are you asking me that question?
Speaker 6:Yeah, okay. So you're asking which things are there that aren't fully utilized yet. Yes, I think, I think, I think the big thing that Everybody is focused on right now, which I think is a great one, is loyalty.
Speaker 6:If you think about loyalty, you know and this is a big web to play, everybody's web to loyalty programs are inefficient, they're not cost-effective. I was just talking to someone. They have like a little passport, like a physical Trented passport, and you get a stamp. Like every time you come into their store you get the stamp, and when you get so many stamps you get a discount off your next pair of tennis shoes or your next waffle. And as I was talking to them, people lose those passports all the time and so then they have to get another passport, which means they're given people on average five new passports every year, which is quite a lot of people who have a lot of passports, five new passports every year, which is costly, plus people. They, they swap them in and out.
Speaker 6:So I might get my five stamps, I'll go get my 20% discount on my waffle, I'll walk out the door and then you'll grab my passport, you'll go in and get the same 20%. So I think web 3 really solves that, because everything's on chain, it belongs to you, you can verify it, you can do a humanity check, you know it's you and it enables a brand to build a much more effective web 3 loyalty program, and it also enables companies who have had a middle person or a middle man in between them Now be able to directly talk to their users, and that's why you see so much hype about you know what Starbucks is doing and Nike is doing. That's what they're trying to do right now is to complete that loyalty program with web 3. Lutonza just announced this as well.
Speaker 2:I think that's the next big breaking utility app will be loyalty then my favorite coffee shop still uses a punch card, an actual card that they take a whole punch and yeah, and I can't tell you how many times I have to dig around and look for that and have lost it and have to get that Redone so I definitely feel like that's an underutilized Part of the blockchain technology in general. I know we got stuff like five stars and stuff like that out there, but being able to put it on chain, even potentially use crypto to make those transactions, would be awesome, yeah you got it I.
Speaker 2:See, you've got your name, your hand up again. Name of tips going on, sir.
Speaker 4:No, no, I was just getting ready to drop in and just say that you know, this is definitely a space where, you know, visionaries are gonna thrive.
Speaker 4:I love how Sandy Alluded to the fact that there's not going to be, and nor should there be, a supreme to be, especially not in a space that's catering to individuals. I think, instead of focusing on the ultimate TLD, we all need to come together and think about the ultimate user experience because, believe it or not, it will be very cumbersome to try to go ahead and, uh, bolster a leading TLD Across so many people and we kind of see how that kind of happened in the way of two space, with calm, and I think that the fact that unstoppable is leading the charge and making waves, as I should say so myself, with emphasizing the importance of the user experience 800 integrations I'm with you, sandy, that's not nearly enough and I think, as time goes on, we're gonna see more and more come into play and the web 3 experience is gonna be something that right now, many of the non-believers aren't gonna be able to find the fathom, the outcome of.
Speaker 2:Very, very well said, sir. And yeah, another huge component again these things need to work in order to translate real value to the people who, at the end, are ultimately going to use them, and that value comes in the form of utility. So, yeah, definitely looking forward to to see more and more people coming to the space and talking about these domains as far as what they did with them and not always looking for how they can flip them and extract value from that. I see we've got, so gonna go to the last two people that we've got hands up and then we've actually are gonna go ahead and close this space.
Speaker 3:Before you do that, I know you're gonna close. Well, I think free names go a space now as well. I would do a few spaces with free name as well. So it's good to see like unstoppable and free name on the same stage. Like this is a kind of like utility and you need to even eat in like web-free, so I'm gonna hop off. I think free name might be hoping off as well, but great to have a standing and a fill from the unstoppable team here. It's been an honor.
Speaker 2:That's actually one of the spaces I'm also gonna transition to as well.
Speaker 2:So for those of you leaving this space looking for another space to hop on to, free name is going to be talking about their amazing news About completing that funding round, so definitely invite everyone to come to there, yeah it is a cool moment to see both Unstoppable and free name up on stage in the same space, have much love for, for not only you guys but for every other entity that's in space that is actually building again the you sent the message when you guys incorporated dot-eat, at least to me personally, and it was a message that took lard and cleared it to the heart and it gave me hope that there actually is, you know, hope for, for cohesiveness in the space, hope for building together, hope for the different entities to work together to make you know naming Ultimately the big deal that it should be instead of the infighting. So Super gracious and kudos to you guys for that. Was very proud to see, especially being in the space the way I am.
Speaker 7:We have to keep Sandy here for another two minutes so we can get this alpha. I'm staying for the alpha.
Speaker 6:You know what? I don't think I'm gonna be able to do it, because we're waiting for a press article to hit once the Because they have an exclusive. I know, I know, I know. So stay tuned and we'll, as soon as it hits, it'll be, it'll be something great. You'll, you guys, will love it.
Speaker 2:Yes, thank you, looking forward to that, and so if you guys do want to stay up to date on unstoppable news, this is your opportunity to go ahead and follow unstoppable so that you see the pressure, lisa, soon as it comes out. Also, another place to find out news about not only unstoppable, but every other builder in space is in our group, so I also encourage you guys to follow us. I am gonna go ahead and close out the space. Once again Want to say thank you from the bottom mark to unstoppable and for Sandy for coming on and sharing the alpha.
Speaker 2:I'm always a pleasure to talk to you, miss Andy. I'm there's a pleasure meeting Austin two times. Look forward to seeing you again as well. Yeah, and thank you.
Speaker 11:Thank you. Thank you, can I speak? Can I speak real quick?
Speaker 9:Hello, I have my hand up.
Speaker 6:Let me just thank. Let me just thank when we're quick. Thank you, win, for having such a great space and for being so inclusive, really, really appreciate it. Um, hey guys, I'm gonna drop because I'm gonna I'm doing a radio interview, but thank you so much for having me on the space. Thank you, guys.
Speaker 9:Thank you so much. Two things I'll be help contributes. I Did twitch streaming and there's something called Rating where you raid another twitch stream when you're done. So what I would say is I Don't know if name people did a space yet, but I would say grab that link, throw it in the you know the banner up depth so that way people could raid that after. It's a way of showing love and going back to you.
Speaker 9:Secondly, I like to think whoever instantly Allowed me to get on the mic, or at least allowed me to raise my hand, that means a lot. Lastly, as far as functionality, you know the domain unstoppable. I think that's what the two guys are right. I, I I'm curious like are you guys working on something with cell phones? So there's push notifications, there's DMs, there's things like that where it's accessible and super easy for people to Contact, because that's what's gonna work with the web, to all they know is. You know Facebook Messenger and you know Whatever, whatever. So I don't know if that's gonna take a long time, I don't know if it's doable. I don't know if you guys are working on it, but I would.
Speaker 9:I would highly recommend doing something like that because you know, instant is good, but I do want to give you huge props because you know, crypto domains Help block censorship. Nobody could take me down. Nobody can censor me because of my beliefs or who I, whatever, and that's a huge thing. That's what. That's what crypto, or you know, all this blockchain is all about is individual freedom to express yourself and to Not be limited, and I just want to give you guys props. I love domains. Since you guys a follow, feel free to follow back. I don't know if it'll happen, but whatever it's not.
Speaker 2:But I would love, I would love to talk offline.
Speaker 9:I think there's many ways I can contribute. I've been in this space since 2020 and I've done a thousand spaces co-hosted, worked for a great company and I think I can contribute Aspects that you guys aren't aware of Because of where I'm, what I'm part of as far as entertainment Management Federer is this a show?
Speaker 8:Are you shilling yourself? If so, dm me a pic.
Speaker 9:Okay, okay dude. Anyways we always have one of them. So I, god bless everybody. Stay up, dude, god, good, early direction that's. It's that simple, dude. That's keep it simple, but much love, name, name or tips, since you'll follow everybody real quick for you and follow all speakers. We fucking, we work hard. Follow us. We have a message and when we're on spaces you can follow us to the good spaces. So with that I'm outie, peace, out, much love and Stay, fucking stay greasy.
Speaker 2:Definitely invite you to join our community as one of everyone else in the space who liked what you heard and want to continue to follow the developments of the web 3 domain space. Your spot on web 3 does definitely, you know. It serves the purpose to block censorship, to empower ownership. As far as whether or not push Notifications on the web 3 messaging side will eventually make its way, but I guess at the cellular portion or where they can push, be pushed to cell phones, that is to be seen.
Speaker 9:Any of these possible. You got to get the blockchain phone.
Speaker 8:It'll be called the block phone, I'm pretty sure her Matt say that it is coming, though I'm pretty sure her Matt say it several times in the last two weeks that phone calls are coming.
Speaker 9:Yeah, no, that's what she said it's coming to. So.
Speaker 2:So, yeah, that'll definitely be exciting to see and, yeah, for those of you who want to keep up to date on those announcements when they come out, as they come out again, I encourage you guys to follow our platform. That's what these spaces are for. I know that Sandy is hot, though, but we still do have a fill up on stage. Thank you guys again for being in the space. This is why we do this. So, yeah, I encourage you guys all to set your reminders for the next I heart domains tech talk. Well, we will continue to talk about new web 3 domain utility. I'm sure that we will be touching base on more awesome stuff from unstoppable. Thank you guys all. Once again, I've got to go hop into the free name space now and, yeah, later on today I'm gonna be heading up to Austin for the handshake meetup. They'll be reporting on the upcoming happening. So, yeah, definitely. Thank you guys all for attending another I heart domain. Hey, can you post that on your?
Speaker 9:timeline as far as that meetup. I'm very interested.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I've actually posted it inside of my group as well. So again, I'll follow you back all the links to everything that's in Connected to our project or in there, so you'll see our telegram group.
Speaker 9:That's the easiest place to have daily conversation about pretty much Whatever hey, last, last but not least, dude, you guys keep doing your thing. Don't let anyone shut you up. If there's haters, do that's their job. Is the hate and just keep doing it.
Speaker 2:Dude, you guys are fucking killing it yes sir, they can hate technology, but they can never stop it.
Speaker 4:Thank, you guys.
Speaker 2:Have a great week.
Speaker 4:Take care everyone.
