Speaker 2:

Thank you. Thank you, hello, hello and good morning. Get started in just a moment, as you are coming into the space, if you guys could please show some love like retweet. If you've got any questions, feel free to pop them into the comments. I actually pinned a few things at the top of the space that are, yeah, really relevant to this topic and I'm looking forward to getting into it. Oh boy, I see my boy Kiosk is in the building. How are you doing today, man? Good to see you, but, yeah, I'm going to go ahead and jump into it.

Speaker 2:

I do want to thank you guys and welcome you to our Tech Talk podcast. This is a live discussion that we record here weekly on X, where we highlight news, innovation, education, alpha and business development in the Web3 technology and digital a big keyword, web3 and blockchain domain, educational content, with over 100 of these Tech Talk episodes so far and YouTube videos produced and archived over the past two years. If you do want to listen back to any of our earlier episodes, you can search our entire archive for prior recordings and a blog overview of each episode directly on our website at iHeartDomainscom, or if you just want to listen to it in podcast format, you can do so on your favorite podcast player, including Apple, spotify and even iHeartRadio, and you can easily reach that catalog at techtalkhost. And yeah, this is, as always, an open conversation, even though these workshops are a little different. These are more kind of educational, so get it if people don't want to come up and request to speak, but if you do want to join the conversation, again, this has always been an open conversation, so feel free to send a speaker role and I'll let you right on up. I'm going to go through just you know typical tech talks. We open with industry news.

Speaker 2:

Again, this series is a little different, so I'm just going to start with, or to be doing, our Verbs Hangout, our fifth Verbs Hangout. We do this each month, but this one's going to be a Christmas toy drive. It's going to take place on the 21st of December. One of the things that we do at this Verbs Hangout is we onboard people into the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. We also introduced them to digital identity via our partnership with Freename, who gifted Verbs the vrbstld. So anyone who attends any of those meetups gets a free domain name and gets introduced to the space with a permanent digital asset. So yeah, for any of you guys who are local. It is free and welcome to all. This has kind of been dubbed the Crypto Cannabis Club now, because that is a big part of what we do during this meetup. We are also sponsored by Blunt Now, who graciously does sponsor us, and, yeah, we have just great conversations and, again, try to make this understandable for normies and newbies so that we can onboard more people to the space and make this universal and worldwide. Um, so, yeah, verbs hanging out, 21st of december it will be a toy drive uh, bring a toy, you get a 420 gift pack or care package, uh, which has a couple of pre-rolls and stuff like that in it. But just showing up to the event, um, there's a bunch of, you know, fun stuff that we also pay for. Yeah, you can read the description to find out what that stuff is.

Speaker 2:

But, yeah, getting into the topic at hand, and again, thank you guys all for attending these lives. You know we do these, so introduce the topic how to generate passive income from your free name TLDs. Again, this is a Web3 domain workshop inspired tech talk. This is brought to you in partnership with FreeName. I think I explained during the last tech talk, this is part of a Web3 workshop series that is first done with our VIP community on Thursdays, where it is an active workshop. So yesterday we covered this same topic In that fashion though it's Google Meet and you're able to see, like my screen and I kind of walk you through it and then this is to introduce that same utility or feature or function to people outside of our ecosystem that don't already know that this exists or are unfamiliar with FreeName. So, yeah, this series of tech talks for quite some time, for the foreseeable future.

Speaker 2:

We're probably focused on utility one way or the other and, as I explained during the last tech talk, a lot of the tools and things that FreeName is bringing or has built, and a lot of the subject matter that I'll be talking about as far as even strategy applies to anything, right. So it doesn't matter what namespace you're in. You may find that one of these tools helps you be more successful with the assets you already have, or it may teach you something, or, again, it may, and hopefully it does. There's nothing wrong with it attracting you to the free name ecosystem. Again, this is a big world. Diverse, diversification is probably the best advice anyone could ever give you. So even if you're maxing in one space, it's always good to kind of hedge your investment by looking at other things. So, with that being said, yeah, welcome to this Web3 domain workshop.

Speaker 2:

And going back to the topic at hand. So again this topic how to generate passive income from your TLD. This is a turnkey registry opportunity that I believe is unique to Freename. I don't know of any other ecosystem that has this program set up in this way, so it definitely is worth the dive. Some of the things that you'll learn as we get through this is that it is designed and constantly optimized for mutual success. So with Freename, you get a partner, and that is probably a big difference for some of us that do feel like customers from other naming ecosystems, and I'll explain in further detail what that means and how they act as a partner. And then the other big takeaway you know the kind of TLDR that I hope people get from the end of this workshop is that this is an opportunity that is currently open to everyone, every single person and you'll see what I mean when I make certain references you know throughout this tech talk and it is also usable from day one with no tech skills needed. So the opportunity that exists within Freename and their TLD ecosystem is perfect for those who have no code or want something that's no code, that's turnkey, that's usable from day one, all right.

Speaker 2:

So now, before we get into all those technicals and what all of this stuff means, I want to get us all on the same page by answering the baseline question, and that is what is a Web3 TLD and what is the difference between a free name TLD or an ENS or UD domain? In regards to this particular conversation and I always like to start with these basic definitions, because you never know what where someone's at in their understanding of the ecosystem, and so I don't assume that everyone understands the difference between a Web3 or Web2 TLD or understands the difference between these domains. So bear with me if this is just repetitive information for you. Zone this part out. But a Web3 TLD is a human, readable name that resolves to a blockchain address, the same way as a Web2 domain name resolves to an IP address. Tld in this case is the format or how it appears in the Web3 space is also very identical to how it appears in the Web2 space. You have a dot, you have a word that is right of the dot and a word that is left of the dot. The word that is right of the dot is for lack of a better term the root. So your TLD, so that is your top level domain, and then the SLD is what is on the left of the dot, which is what you can mint or register on that TLD, and that can be literally anything. So in this relationship the TLD stays constant and then the SLD is up to user choice or registration.

Speaker 2:

What is the difference between a free name, tld or an ENS or UD domain in this particular conversation, and both of those ecosystems? To an extent right, and there's obviously some workarounds and some technological ways to get to it, which is, again, turnkey is a key word here. But in both of those ecosystems, ie the ENS and UD ecosystem, the primary relationship between the consumer and the protocol is to purchase at the SLD level. So when those protocols first launched, ens is obviously famously known for the eth extension. So eth would be the TLD in this case and virtually everyone who is in that ecosystem or in that community has their name eth. So in this case it is ENS, the protocol that is operating.

Speaker 2:

The TLD Unstoppable, launched. What was it? First they launched crypto and then they started launching. I think they had like nine or seven and now a bunch of them. But same relationship, right? Typically as a consumer when you are on the insolvable platform, your relationship as a consumer is to purchase an SLD off of one of their TLDs and in that case dot crypto would be the TLD that they operate and you're able to mint your name. That Again there's workarounds to kind of turn those assets into quote unquote registries.

Speaker 2:

But the biggest difference is that Freenames ecosystem from the start is a turnkey opportunity that is meant to empower you as a registrar. That is meant to empower you as a registrar and, with that being said, their opportunity begins at that TLD level. So in those other ecosystems where you're minting your name, dot their TLD Freename has blocked out those TLDs so that we as registrars, partners of free name, cannot mint and copy and duplicate other name services, which, again, big solid thing. So they block those TLDs. But then anything else that is out there that doesn't exist in the Web2 ICANN space for the Web3 TLD or crypto name service space is basically free game for entrepreneurs to build on their ecosystem. And again, the biggest difference between the ability to create another namespace on or a subdomain namespace on an ENS or UD domain, as opposed to a free name TLD is that this is a turnkey opportunity that is enabled from day one without needing any additional partners, hookups, dms, detect, stacks, all that. You don't have to do anything from day one At the point of sale. This opportunity is live for you. So, yeah, now I'm going to get into some of those technicals. And so, again, as I just said, your journey to become a Web3 registrar begins from day one at the point of sale.

Speaker 2:

Once you are on Freedameio, to get effectively started and have your own TLD that people can register domains on only takes two steps. The first one is the search bar is the search bar. So if you're on freedameio for the first time or for the hunter's time, they have a big old search bar and it works the same as a search bar for every other registrar, except in this case. Instead of having to, you can type in and search either the name you want dot TLD that you also want or you can do a search for a TLD all by itself to see if that TLD or that namespace is available. So search and purchase TLD is step one.

Speaker 2:

As far as pricing for TLDs goes, I believe you may still be able to get a TLD for as low as seventy nine dollars. That's what I entered into the space with. It may be a little bit more now and then TLDs of course, their pricing is dynamic, based on popularity, keywords, all that good stuff, same as in any other space, right, grails are price, so you can end up spending up to a few thousand dollars for a TLD. And again, with their turnkey ecosystem and everything that I'll go through, it's pretty easy to justify spending a few thousand dollars on a TLD, especially if it's one that has the capability of building a pretty large community. But step one find purchase your TLD Literally can be anything. You can even include emojis if you like, emoji domains in your TLD, and remember this is what is going to appear on the right of the dot.

Speaker 2:

Step two and you will get this option at the point of sale would be to activate and add royalties so you're able to own the TLD itself as an asset without necessarily having to turn it into a revenue generating thing. Right, I believe people will still be able to mint SLDs off of your TLD unless you turn it private. But you won't profit share until you add royalties. Royalties has always had a fixed flat rate of 50 bucks, and then what that does is it activates a revenue share and then all of these tools which I'm going to go through now with free name, and the revenue share is 50 50. So anytime someone mints an SLD on your TLD, you will receive a 50% revenue share and I'll explain how kind of all of that stuff works. But yeah, so again, there are several tools and back office features that, once you add these royalties, opens up that will further aid in your success. And yeah, the purpose of this space is to walk you through those tools so that you have an idea of not only the opportunity but also the degree of control that you actually have with your TLD.

Speaker 2:

As I explained in the workshop yesterday, we'll be doing a future workshop soon. I mean, we've got a lot of stuff to cover, but in a future workshop I'll cover actual strategies to market and attract registrations on your TLDs. This particular workshop is more about the process and kind of the technicalities behind it, because I want to illustrate how easy this is for somebody who's never been in the ecosystem before to literally just come on here, buy your name. You can actually use a debit or credit card to purchase also TLDs and SLDs for free name. You don't need a cryptocurrency wallet address or a crypto account to do so, so that's another big thing as well. This is literally open opportunity for anyone, even if you're not crypto native All right. So once you've.

Speaker 2:

So this is now I'm going to start this space, assuming that you've got your TLD. Now you're logged into your Freedom account, you've clicked on it and you now see the options that are available to you, and these options I'm going to go through in order, as you'll see them on the page, and what you can do with those options. And so in this case, let's say that you bought, we'll use my TLD. For example, let's say that you bought dgen, right? So now you've got this namespace in the free name technical ecosystem. You know you own dgen. Anyone who wants the free name utility, that wants to have a free name domain, but wants dgen to be their TLD, has to buy it from you now. Okay, so cool, you're set up. You're good to go.

Speaker 2:

Also an important thing to note too and this will obviously be discussed in further spaces but the blockchains that TLDs or that free name domains are able to reside on. It's actually a multi-chain namespace. So it's actually a multi-chain namespace. So you can mint your TLDs to either Base Polygon, you can mint them to Solana, you can mint them to well, that's like six or seven different chains and they're adding them constantly, so you have a lot of different options for where you can mint both your TLD. And when someone comes to your TLD to mint an SLD on your TLD, they actually get to choose their own specific blockchain that they want to mint their name on. So, even if your TLD lives on base, they can mint their SLD on Solana. And obviously, as the space continues to grow and there's more use cases on some blockchains as opposed to others, you know you'll see the big benefit in that. But yeah, so choice number one at the top of the page you're going to have a tab called preferences.

Speaker 2:

So, going back to what I was saying earlier, some people may want a TLD or may want the ability to own the namespace, but may not necessarily want people to purchase domains off of it. One of the first options that you have is TLD visibility once you purchased it. Have is TLD visibility once you purchased it, so you can set their TLD to either be public, which means this is an asset that is free to register on in the free name ecosystem. That means if someone goes to that search bar and they type in whatever name it is dot your TLD, it's going to give them a price and if they pay it, they get that domain name. Or you can set it to private, which if you have, if you're buying this TLD for internal you know company purposes, if you have some use that is private for it, then you can purchase a TLD, taking that namespace out of the ecosystem, and then you, as the owner, can be the only person that can create or purchase SLDs on that TLD, slds on that TLD. So you have that first choice.

Speaker 2:

The second choice that you have if you choose to make your TLD public, one of the things that you'll notice when you're on the free name page and this is another thing that you'll have the ability to do, which I'll explain also is promotions. So free name promotions. If you're ever on freenameio and you see the promotions bar at the top, these are always system-wide promotions, meaning that if your TLD is live or if a TLD isn't purchased yet and someone searches for a name and they add it to cart and they enter that promo code, it is going to apply to whatever's in that cart, if it's applicable, unless you have opted out from any of the free name promotions and there's several different reasons why you may want to do that. Again, if you've got what you consider to be a grail TLD or you don't want people to basically buy your best inventory at a discount, you can actually opt out from free name promos and either opt to have no promo codes ever at all or create your own. If you want to do private campaigns, which I'll talk about later, but those are your first two choices is that and the preference tab. And this again is this is assuming that you have now got a free name TLD and you're in the back office and you're looking at this screen your preference tab. The first two options it gives you is the ability to turn your TLD private or public and the ability to opt in or out of any of the free name system wide promotions. All right.

Speaker 2:

The next big thing and this is probably the biggest thing in addition to pricing takes us back to that turnkey thing. So, again, biggest difference between this ecosystem and other ecosystems in terms of opportunity is that word turnkey, like I said please keep that in mind With this being a turnkey ecosystem, meaning it empowers you to be a registrar from day one. The second option that you're able to do is create a resale page. So, again, you've already got a working business. You bought your TLD, you bought your royalties. Now, with no code and one click, you can create a page, a dedicated page and URL that people can go to, where they can shop on just your TLD, that people can go to, where they can shop on just your TLD.

Speaker 2:

So, as I was explaining in the workshop yesterday, in virtually every ecosystem, the way that people will find a name your name, any name is just going to the system-wide search bar and they either have to search for it directly or by just some luck or happenstance, it pops up in some of the recommended results. Same thing, if you've created a TLD and you're expecting people to just find your TLD and be able to register SLDs on it, that can happen and it does happen. Again, depending on the popularity of that TLD, which would justify that price that I was talking about earlier. It may be something that's easily discoverable would justify that price that I was talking about earlier. It may be something that's easily discoverable or something that people naturally search for, but if it's not, it might be something that somebody never finds, and so being able to create a direct link directly to your TLD so that people are just focused on the value that you offer as, like I said, a one-click, no-code tool is probably one of the biggest differences between our ecosystem and others that have the same kind of resale opportunity. So what is the Freename resale page? And I think I posted, or did I pin, one of these up at the top of Freename. Yeah, so one of the pinned tweets up here is actually about the resale page, and you can again dig deeper on freenameio to see what those are.

Speaker 2:

But basically, for each TLD that you have, you have the ability to create this page. One of the first things that you will do is you will create a theme or you'll select the theme. So, in the case of dgen, I think I selected maybe cryptocurrency or something like that for dgen, but you have about 25 or 30 different categories that you can select. That'll basically set the tone. There's AI working behind this, so this is why it's important to kind of establish these categories, but what that will do once you've selected a category for your TLD whether, like I said, it could be anything from animals, art, crypto, gaming, sports, music, all those good standard categories. It will basically use standard art that it will create and it will whip up a page that is themed to whatever category you've selected in your TLD. It will include your TLD and then you know, the AI will use it to make different. Yeah, it'll optimize the page to reflect both your TLD and the category that it's in, which is super cool. You guys know how AI works. Ai is smart and it describes it for you, one of the other things that you're able to do on this resell page. So, again, you select your category which kind of sets the tone of the other things that you're able to do on this resale page. So, again, you select your category which kind of sets the tone of the nature and the verbiage for your resale page, and then it also, again, it kind of makes art, puts art in the background for you One of the things that you're able to do when you're in.

Speaker 2:

You know kind of the settings for your resale pages. You can actually change that art. So if you have custom art for your TLD that you've made, you can upload it. It gives you the dimensions, so either 18 by 1,000 in the pixel count or 16 by 9 as far as like screen size. If you've created art in that format and in that size, you can actually upload it to replace the AI generated art to further customize your page. So very solid tool.

Speaker 2:

The URL that it pops out is actually extremely easy to share. It's not a long one with a bunch of weird characters. It's simply a free name that I owe. Let me go to my resale page actually it's freenameio then backslash or forward slash discover, then forward slash your TLD. So even for readability, if you're sharing it publicly, it's very clean. It's a very clean link and again, it's a direct link that you're able to send people to directly to your TLD. That you're able to send people to directly to your TLD.

Speaker 2:

Once they get on that resale page, they are given a bunch of different suggestions. So they get the same kind of toolbar as you typically would see on the main registration page. However, the difference here is that anything that they type into that toolbar is only gonna give them results on your TLD and then also below that it gives some suggestions of available SLDs, with the pricing. Of course, that's associated with it, kind of just a suggestion. So a lot of people you know do kind of appreciate, when they're on a website or a shopping place, getting suggestions of some of the hot things that are still available. It helps inspire people to figure out what to add to their portfolio and then, even down below that, it gives even some more suggestions with some good, applicable use cases for why someone would want to mint some of these SLDs. So, again, you've got this reseller page that is available to you from day one. That is a tool developed and given to you by Freename, that instantly works for you, is continuously being optimized and is a really powerful one-click solution to help market and promote your TLD. So that turnkey thing.

Speaker 2:

Now, going back to the next option that you have available to you. So you bought your TLD, you've activated your royalties, you've set your preferences to public, you've opted in or out of your free name promotions. Now it's well, how do I make money from this? Well, the one of the next categories that I want to go over is the ability to customize the pricing, and this is where you're going to see a really big difference between some of the other opportunities that are or have been out there and so depending and this one's going to be more kind of specific to the other ecosystems that enable you to purchase their technology at this same level, right, because this really doesn't even apply to UD or ENS. In those cases, I mean, you're the consumer, you're paying their retail fee for the domains and then, once you own it, I mean again, you have to use third party technology to create a subdomain registrar.

Speaker 2:

But on those other ecosystems and I'm just going to name them, much love to them, my own assets and basically all of them. But when we're talking about Handshake or we're talking about Decentralweb, those ecosystems also allow you to purchase their assets at quote, unquote, the TLD level and everything I explained about the opportunity here. That opportunity is very similar to the opportunity that they promote that you can have in their ecosystem. Cool, one of the things, or big things, or big differences when it comes to pricing is, in those ecosystems, the ethos is mainly centered around decentralization, being able to do what you want to with your asset, 100% control, control over everything from top to bottom, even down to building your own tech, which I mean that, unfortunately, has held back both of those ecosystems.

Speaker 2:

But pricing the ability to sell your name for as little as one cent if you feel like, or mint a bunch of free names and give them away. That is currently how those ecosystems operate. I mean, you can. You can do that if you'd like. You can charge a billion dollars for a domain name or you can charge literally free or give them away Free names. Pricing is a little bit different again. So this is a big thing to understand. Is you own the asset? This is Web3. This is immutable ownership.

Speaker 2:

But this opportunity is a partnership and the big thing is that on the other side of this partnership, you have a partner that also does not want to lose. So, as they are continuously optimizing their ecosystem to make you successful, that's going to come with some strategies that prevent you from basically effing yourself. It's the same terminology I used yesterday. I can't help it, it's the only way that I can explain it. But yes, having the ability to sell or give away domain names can essentially place you in a position where you screw yourself right, where you bleed out the asset and kill its resellable value.

Speaker 2:

So, with that being said, just as when you are registering TLD using that search bar on the main free name page, there is an algorithm that tells you what that price is going to be, or dictates that final price. Again, you know very customized TLDs that are very specific to your industry or your company may cost as low as $79. You know very popular, you know keywords short things like that will probably cost you the couple thousands of dollars. That's how the algorithm works there. There is a algorithm that also applies to the pricing of SODs on your TODs and so, with that being said, that algorithm applies the same way kind of as it does in other ecosystems like, well, ens. It makes sense more there Everyone's used to the character count dictating the registration price. So, just like you know, obviously we're registering a one digit or in ENS it starts at three digits, has a higher registration price than a four digit, and that has a higher registration price than a five digit, and then et cetera.

Speaker 2:

In the Freename ecosystem you can set pricing for the length of your domains and it is already preset. Again, they've set you up for success by already kind of pre-coding in pricing and then giving you the ability to either discount that pricing to find something that you're happy with and think is marketable, or increase that pricing if you think that your TLD is that one and people need to pay to own their SODs on your TLDs. So, with that being said, you're able to adjust the separate unique pricing from character counts one all the way down to 10. So you can go 10 levels deep. There's actually two different modes to the pricing. So the simplified mode allows you to go six levels deep to keep it simple again. But if you want to dig as far down as 10 levels deep, you can create 10 completely different pricing categories all the way up to 10 plus characters registered on your SLD. Also, it applies as well to emojis. It applies as well to emojis. There's separate pricing that you can either elect to set or adjust for emoji domains one character, two, three, four, five character, et cetera. Or, like I said, if you go to the simplified pricing mode, it just lets you control pricing down from first to six and kind of cuts the rest of that out. So get two different options to really dig down into the different types of pricing.

Speaker 2:

And then the standard pricing for each of those categories or numerical counts is already preset. Again, it's preset based on industry standard and based on market conditions et cetera, and it's preset to make you profitable, kind of on both ends. Again, to keep you from effing yourself. However, you do have a little sliding scale here that allows you in any of these categories to either adjust that preset pricing all the way down to 50%. So you can knock it down in half. So I'll give you an example. So you can knock it down in half. So I'll give you an example.

Speaker 2:

Typical pricing for a one number or one character domain name on on a TLD. Standard pricing can be anywhere if it's a one number. So one dot degen would run you nine thousand nine hundred dollars. X dot degen, if it was a single character, would run you $7,900. That's the standard price and it's pre-programmed into here.

Speaker 2:

If you're looking at that pricing and you're saying, hey, I don't think anybody's going to spend $9,000 or $10,000 for a one-letter domain on my TLD, but I think they'll spend $4,000 or $5,000. You can actually slide that slider all the way down to $5,000, right, you're able to discount it up to 50%. And again, some people may want the ability to reduce that all the way down to $5 because you have no faith in yourself or ability to sell anything off of your TLD. But in an ecosystem like this, where you have a partner, that partner's best interest is to keep you from doing that to yourself. And again, you know this is also a reason to make good choices. But so you're able to discount.

Speaker 2:

In this case, on a one number all the way down to 4950, or on the one letter, you can discount 50% of whatever. 79 was like 49 or 3950, something like that. Or, like I said, if you're looking at your TLD and you own, like page ownsv, he owns a single letter TLD, right, it's obviously a solid one, only 26 single letters out there. Um, he may feel that if somebody wants to buy, you know uh, cv, right, um, that $9,000 is way too low for that, right, so he can. You can also adjust the other way, and the other way is also limited to where you can only go to X that price. So, as you can discount and cut in half, you can multiply by two, right, and that also prevents you from again putting yourself in a position where people are looking at anything, all the prices on your domain names and being completely just uninterested because you've priced them too high. Because, again, some people would like the ability to price their names at zero, others would like the ability to price their names at five gazillion dollars. Right, we see them both In a partnership, in an ecosystem where someone actually wants you to be successful. However, we've got some normal pricing in here and some good barriers to prevent you from going off the rails, okay? So, yeah, and then again, you can also and I'm going to go into this here in a little bit so that's pricing, so you have complete control over pricing. Again, as far as being able to discount increase based on some preset algorithms in here, these numbers are extremely competitive. Names can be as cheap as five dollars as far as a standard pricing, which then becomes cheaper once promo codes get involved. So, again, for people to enter this ecosystem ecosystem it's very easy to do and very cost effective.

Speaker 2:

Before I get into provo codes, I did just want to touch on one big feature as well, which is the ability to customize your avatar, your art, on your tld. So again, different reasons for why people are going to enter the ecosystem, different reasons for why companies or individuals are going to want a TLD. If you are getting a TLD for your brand, you know it may be extremely important to you that when people own an asset that is minted off of there. That it's, you know, that that brand is being represented in art form. So if you've got logos or custom art, you can apply that to your TLD and then anyone who registers SLDs off of it will see that art. So great for communities, you know, really great for any reasons. Or you can use the standard art, but basically, being able to use your TLD and all your SLDs is, you know, kind of an advertisement or yeah, basically what it is Like. It's a walking advertisement that lives on the blockchain Is another big tool again that really empowers you to be successful with this. And now, lastly, it's the promo codes.

Speaker 2:

So, in addition to the standard being able to adjust the standard preset pricing to make your pricing ultimately more attractive to people, depending on, like I said, how you feel about your TLDs, you can also create and issue your own promo codes and promo campaigns. So, just like, as I said, you know, one of the first options that you have in the preferences of your TLD is to turn off free day promo campaigns that are usually, like I said, at the top bar of the website. If you choose to turn those off, you can either leave those off so that you know everyone pays whatever that standard pricing that you said is with no discount, or you can create your own promo code campaign if you think you want to create either a better one or you know a different kind of one. But, with that being said, you as a TLD owner have the ability to issue up to a thousand dollars worth of promo codes every single month. Now, these aren't coupons, these are promo codes. You need to make that.

Speaker 2:

You can't give away $1,000 worth of free domains off of your TLD. Just wanted to explain that. But you can issue discount codes up to 50% off, equally up to $1,000 each month. So still effectively giving away $1,000 of free money If you've got a market and there's demand on your TLD and people are going to mint on it anyway, or if you wanted to attract people to mint on it by offering again an additional discount to whatever you've done to your pricing in the pricing section. But I just do want to clarify it's not like $1,000 of credit so you can go mint a bunch of names off of your own TLD and give them away or give out coupon codes or something like that.

Speaker 2:

That does happen from time to time and, depending on you know what kind of campaign that you want to run. You can actually reach out to the free name team and talk to them about creating that type of campaign. They do do that. Again, you know that's the relationship that we have with verbs and free name with the brbstld. But usually those are, like I said, different types of campaigns associated with communities or initiatives. Being able to just do it all day, every day, wouldn't be profitable to anybody. And again, as a partner, you know they're helping you, not help yourself, like I said, for lack of a better term.

Speaker 2:

But yeah, so with these promo campaigns you're able to set really you know an entire campaign. It starts with the campaign name. You can set dates for when whatever code that you've created is active, so you can feel certain that you can put a code out there, put an expiration date and it won't be used past that point. You can also set things like how often that code can be used, if it can be used. So you were able to set how often that code could be used in general, or if a person can even use that code themselves multiple times, and then you're able to again set your discount up to 50%, create a custom name for it, all that good stuff. And this is instantaneous Once you go in here. It takes like three or four minutes to do, once you're used to the system, and then you can create a promo code and then again you can start issuing that code and advertising that code along with that reseller page, and once they get in cart, they just type the code in and it applies that discount.

Speaker 2:

Another big thing just like, you're able to go purchase your TLD from freenameio using a debit or credit card, as well as crypto and all that good stuff. That is a feature that is also available to those who are wanting to purchase SLDs from you SLDs from you. So anything that anyone adds to cart on your TLD, when they reach the checkout page, it is going to give them the same options that you would receive if you were purchasing direct from the free name search page, which is they'll be able to purchase their domain using crypto or using crypto. Of course, they can connect their wallet or they can use, like I said, fiat with a debit or credit card. That option existed from the start. They can also use PayPal, I believe. So very easy and anyone who wants to purchase an SLD off of your TLD.

Speaker 2:

Again, as I said before, although these are cryptocurrency assets, their utility lives in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Although these will definitely be an onboarding tool to get people to begin to understand and use blockchain and cryptocurrency, one of the biggest things that takes kind of that barrier away from you getting people, at least you know to give your TLD a chance is that they do not need a cryptocurrency account in order to create an account at Freename and purchase any domains off of your TLD. In fact, freename has also created their own custodial wallet, so even if a person never wants to go outside and get their own wallet or anything like that, they can opt to just store them in the Freename custodial wallet, which is a real wallet, that they have control over all that good stuff and they don't even have to go, set up their own keys and do all that stuff with traditional Wattestep we're used to. So very beginner-friendly ecosystem, very empowering ecosystem. And again, it's turnkey. It's meant for you to be successful from day one. So this is one of the biggest things that I wanted to highlight about the opportunity that exists with Freename. Again, biggest thing is turnkey.

Speaker 2:

As time goes on, as we see, freename is constantly building and shipping. You know different integrations and partnerships and so you know the opportunity right now is the way it looks today isn't the same as it looked. You know, two years ago, when I first joined Freename, you know I was able to, as I you know, one of the examples I use dgen. I do own dgen and I was able to purchase dgen for $79,. Right, that opportunity doesn't exist today, but the opportunity that exists today is not going to be the same as what it's going to look like tomorrow. You know 10 or 15 more integrations in, 50 more integrations in, 200 more integrations in, et cetera, as the space continues to grow. So, never financial advice.

Speaker 2:

But these workshops, again, are not only to highlight the opportunities that exist for people that are already in the ecosystem, but to also, you know, make people who are aware, who are on the fence, who have never heard of this, the opportunity that does exist. Should you choose to look over here and again, what you're able to accomplish, you're able to achieve now. There's still plenty of inventory out there. If you see this opportunity as something that has an advantage to you, grab your TLD now, because you never know what it will be priced at later. For now Also and this is just a quick shout out to a promotion that they have going on this is a new promotion I think I actually saw this morning they are doing a Christmas sale. So if you are interested in getting either a TLD or SLD off of someone's TLD that has enabled free name promotions, it's 50% off. So 50% off. I don't know if there's a promo code that's needed or if it's automatically added to cart and they're offering a free domain and Freename has their own six or seven of their own kind of house TLDs that they usually choose to issue one of the free domains on. So again, thank you guys for attending this workshop.

Speaker 2:
