Thank you, hello GMGM, going to get started here in just a second, just sharing the spaces around. If you guys could please do me a favor as you're coming into the space and do the same. Really appreciate you guys being here. I've actually pinned a few things at the top, of course, that typically reference Journey Spaces. So, yeah, looking forward to getting into it and yeah, we'll get started here in just a second. So excuse the awkward silence now that the music is paused, all righty and I am back.
Speaker 2:Also, as usual, these past tech talks can have been a little different and obviously, if any of you have listened into the past shows, you'll kind of get the format and I'll explain the difference in the format. But it's still a welcome and open space. If anyone does want to come up and join the conversation or has used any part of this platform and wants to share their own experience, feel free to request a speaker role. You can always hop up. But yeah, these are more kind of workshop vibe and again, like that'll become a little more apparent as we get through the spaces. But I do want to welcome everyone to my Tech Talk podcast. This is a live discussion that I've recorded here weekly on X for the past two years, where we highlight news, innovation, education, alpha and business development in the Web3 technology and digital identity space. Behind the mic is me, your host, marcus aka WinAirdrop, and I am the founder of iHeartDomains. For this past two years, we've strived to be your number one resource for unbiased Web3 and blockchain domain educational content. We've produced over 100 of these TikTok episodes in that period, as well as YouTube videos that accompany them, and, yeah, we've archived these, like I said, over the past two years, covering a variety of subject and, you know, with a variety of different guests giving different perspective on you know how this space will eventually look.
Speaker 2:If you are curious and do want to search through our entire podcast archives for any prior recordings, you can easily do so at our website, that is, I heart domainscom. Um, accompanying each of these recordings is also an easy to read blog overview. So, um, you know, depending on how you like to digest information, we try to produce that for you. Um, also, every one of these tech talks does end up um in actual podcast format and distributed on every major podcast player. That includes Apple, spotify, iheartradio, google all that good stuff. So, if you prefer to digest your content with your favorite podcast player. You can actually listen to us natively on those and to see those episodes and actually to get directly to the links to get to your player, you can go to techtalkhost and it'll have the entire archive.
Speaker 2:Again, always extremely grateful and thankful to everybody that comes to the space. If you don't want to come up and speak but have a question or want to leave a comment or just in general, say GM or whatever, please feel free to do so in the comments. But, yeah, let's go ahead and get started in typical fashion with our opening news. Biggest opening news would obviously be happy New Year's, you know, happy 2025, which is crazy, you know we.
Speaker 2:You know we're growing as a space entering another year. You know we're growing as a space entering another year. It feels almost like yesterday. You know that. You know kind of jumped in here and really found this love of domains. It really has been a while and with each new year, you know we get to set new goals and you know, especially considering, you know, some of the things that we really kind of brought to the table and created the narrative for last year. You know including, you know, domain name tokenization. You know that was something that you know is really started to take off last year and I think it'll really find its footing. You know, this year especially, you're going to see a lot more dot coms and dot XYzs and a lot of those things you know coming into the digital identity space. And then I think you're gonna see vice versa as well. You know we, especially with Freename, you know it's built a really strong bridge between, you know, our native Web3 domain space and you know the Web2 space, you know, via ICANN. So, you know, getting closer to the new round coming out, I think we'll see a lot more progression, people's strategy and start seeing the reality that some of these Web3 domains are really going to, you know, I guess, become the ultimate asset per se or hit the holy grail status where they will in fact become ICANN extensions. So, yeah, definitely looking forward to the new years again, you know, for those of us who have already, you know, been in the space and buying TLDs and you know kind of creating our game plan and our strategy, you know we have a lot of different ways to go. You know whether you want to again stay native in Web3 and begin to build with it, or if you know you do have your plans to go the other way and again turn them into traditional web assets. So yeah, kudos to everyone that's here. Happy New Year's. Wouldn't want to spend it any other way than here with you guys.
Speaker 2:With that being said, speaking about TLDs, my strategy, since I've been acquiring TLDs from Freedame for the most part, I think initially I've opened my TLDs for registration, you know, but I've closed them, and most of them have been closed for quite some time, especially the ones that I've considered, you know, ultra premium and really trying to build around. So this year I decided to open up, you know, the registry for most of those premium TLDs. You am now pretty set in the building stage and I'll kind of give an example of that next. But for those of you if you don't already know, we do own the dgen and the. It's always like a tongue twister.
Speaker 2:It's 5-8. So everybody's familiar with Unstoppable's 888. I think 4-8 is protected for some reason. I don't know if it's a brand name, I'm not sure why it's protected, but 4-8s was unregisterable, and so the next registerable extension was the 5-8s, and then you couldn't do one or two 8s either. So I have the only set of 8s, or the shortest set of eights that you could have registered on Freename as a TLD. So five eights exchange defi wallet and then also going to up and up gamertag.
Speaker 2:So for any of you guys who, again, you know, are wanting to stack up on great names, take advantage of these promos. I have turned Freename promotions on on all of these TLDs, so that's another thing that you thing that typically I've kind of switched off as well. So, again, for any of you guys who are stacking up your inventory, building your database or building your portfolio of SLDs on some premium TLDs, those are open as of now. So feel free to do so. Again, you can use your free name, discounts and coupons and et cetera. And then, lastly, as part of the opening news and then connecting to the building, I think the last spaces, I announced that I joined a development team. So I officially joined the development team as a co-founder and as a CCO, which is Chief Community Officer, called Orion X1 Technologies. Shout out to them. They've actually been connected for quite some time. One of the co-founders of Orion is actually the co-host of our VERBS meetups, so we've gone through what those are as well. It's a combined digital identity, irl meetups, all that good stuff.
Speaker 2:But in any event, one of the things that, again, you know, this entire time that I've been in this space been extremely bullish on what can be done with Web3 identity, what can be done with this technology. Just me, as a person I don't have the development skills to necessarily bring that into fruition so kind of always had to be hopeful. You know some things are meant to be in. You know the encounter with Ryan and now being on the team and you know us now having a direction to start building these things out is that blessing and that toolbox that didn't exist before. And so 2025 is definitely going to be a year of developing. One of the first things that we've already developed and is now live, or at least live in the hackathon and I'll explain what that is is the AI car dealer. So aicardealercom is a hand registered domain that I registered, I think, about a month or so ago. We wanted to use this domain as kind of a proof of concept of what we could build combining IRL you know, real IRL, really necessity and utility with Web3 technology and even decentralized lending. So we created an AI bot that basically will take you from start to finish, from the process of buying a car and at some point we'll even allow you to collateralize a loan that may even be reported to your credit report, if you'd like it to be, by using cryptocurrency and no credit checks. So we've developed that. We've submitted it to the Send AI Solana Hackathon, which has actually turned into a pretty big deal 400 something projects have submitted to the hackathon. We are one of them and, yeah, that is going to be, like I said, one of the first big projects that we have put out. We're launching a token actually to support this project as well. The presale begins on the 20th.
Speaker 2:If you follow my WinAirdrop account, you will probably see a whole bunch of spam promoting it. Just get over it. That's what it is right now, showing the project. But, yeah, extremely excited for the capabilities of this team, you're going to start seeing a lot of development that is incorporating, again, you know, free name technology, digital identity technology, showing the use cases of how you can utilize. You know, again, the Web3, the token gating, all those good things within traditional Web2 applications. So, hopefully, what we do inspires other people and, again, if you're in our VIP community, you have open access to chat with me, to get ideas of your own and access to resources as well. So, yeah, now, with that being said, I'm going to go ahead and get into the main discussion. As you guys can see at the top, this is our Web3 domain workshop and the subject of this workshop is how to send and use Web3 email using your Web3 domain name. So yeah, the Web3 domain workshops.
Speaker 2:So, going back to what I was speaking about at the beginning of the space, the Web3 domain workshops, which is the theme of now, these tech talks kind of moving forward. So these are brought to you in partnership with Freename and the purpose of these workshops, or the mission of these workshops, is to not only introduce and kind of break down Freename, you know utility that currently exists, that you can utilize, because I don't think a lot of people know. You know a lot of the things that you can currently actually do with Freename domains. Now, some of the partnerships that they have, and you know, hopefully these tech talks will, you know, make people aware of that, and then, of course, also instruction on how to use them, if you're not already doing so, but then, even beyond that, if you have names from other ecosystems. Again, you know, but I've always been a very non-biased platform Bullish on Freename bullish on everybody else as well. One of the things that I've always loved about Freename is that most of the tools that they build they are cross-naming compatible, meaning they're trying to build tools that make the space better for everybody. So a lot of the things that we're going to be talking about in this workshop may also enlighten you if you're not in the Freename ecosystem or hold something else. They may show you what you can do with your own domain. And then, obviously, of course, you know we do want to show people the opportunity that exists in this ecosystem, because it is a different type of investing from just, uh, these spaces.
Speaker 2:Um follow, uh a workshop that we do on Thursdays for our VIP community. I think I've kind of explained that relationship already. So, um, I am uh on the free name team as a kind of the VIP relations VIP liaison. Um, this is meant to create a better bridge between the VIPs and actual you know development and building and you know monetizing their domain stream, so that we are all successful. One of those tools is, again, this workshop that we do for the VIPs privately and in Google Meet form, where it's more interactive and you're actually doing a share screen and things like that. So for anybody who does want kind of more of a hands-on experience with learning any of this utility or wants an environment where they can ask questions and interact, that utility is available to our VIP community, amongst other utilities and things like that, that we offer that workshop in order to again, like I said, share that same message and educate everyone else on that same utility in a public fashion. So again, thank you guys all for being here. If you want to be all hands-on, join our VIP community, but thank you for being here as well.
Speaker 2:One of the things I always like to do before I dive into these tech talks and start diving into the specific utility that we're talking about is I do like to differentiate what these things are so that we are all on the same page as to what we're talking about. Again, you know, because we use same format and because we use a lot of the same technology, sometimes people get confused as to which is which. Even you know just now in this introduction I've already spoken about you know, icann and etc. So I do always like to start off by speaking about, or by differentiating, what a Web3 domain is and a Web2 domain is. Just so again, we're on the same page, because what we were talking about here are Web3 domains. So Web2 domains or DNS domains ie your coms, xyzs, your ios, your ais, etc.
Speaker 2:The ones that you typically enter into your browser in order to get the content. These are, again, human readable names or human readable identities that map out to IP addresses and then again forward you to content through the traditional DNS system. This is what, again, you're used to typing into your traditional browser to get somewhere. You type it in, you get to a place of content, you emails If you're creating custom email, you're able to utilize your domain name, et cetera. These are the things that have existed for the past 25, 30 years. These are the things that work natively again in the Web2 ecosystem.
Speaker 2:Web3 domains look the same, use the same format and obviously use the same terminology and even you know kind of use the same utility. They just route to somewhere else. So, just like an IP address is a random set of numerical characters that leads to content, our cryptocurrency or blockchain addresses are a hexadecimal cryptographic address that leads to our wallet or the content that exists there. And just as it is almost impossible to remember an IP address, it is almost impossible to remember an entire wallet address. Possible to remember an entire wallet address. So, just as you know, being able to type in googlecom is obviously to get to Google is obviously more convenient than typing in whatever that is.
Speaker 2:Here in this space. We utilize Web3 domains in order to get people to the destination we want to send them to, which is our wallet, the contents or whatever it is that we're authorizing whatever D app or whatever thing that they are using to display to them. So that is a difference. Web3 domains do not work natively in the Web2 ecosystem, although that there are some workarounds. We've spoken about what some of those are actually in the previous Web3 domain workshop, so always love to clear that up, get us all on the same page. Got it here we go, all right.
Speaker 2:So back to the topic. At Web 3 emails, specifically in this case with Freename. It's Web 3 emails with MailChain, ethermail and LedgerMail, and we're going to make this pretty brief. This is actually pretty easy to follow along and get, but we're going to go through the basics of what it is, basically how to use it and then, lastly, why should you use it right? You know, anytime we're looking at a utility, it's kind of always important, you know, to know how to use that utility and kind of start getting used to using it yourself and find and create that value, because then it makes it easier for you to communicate it to other people. Again, the smarter you are and the more bullish you are, the easier it is to make other people bullish. So, for those of you who don't already know, freename has integrated Web3 email or has partnered with some Web3 email providers in order to provide this utility. Those three providers in the case of Freename are MailChain, ethermail and LedgerMail.
Speaker 2:If you guys have been around my platform for a while, you'll know that I think a couple of years back, really close to the beginning of doing these tech talks, I actually did an AMA with the CEO of MailChain. It was really good AMA. As a matter of fact, ended up meeting their team actually in person at ETH Denver a couple years back as well, and this particular Web3 domain workshop is actually going to be focused on MailChain. So the way EtherMail may work is totally different. The way LedgerMail may work is totally different. I again encourage anybody who wants to deep dive and learn more and use these things to do your own research and, you know, sign up for the one that works best for you. But this particular, you know, web3 domain workshop is going to be covering MailChain in this case, also a good thing to note as well, and this is going back to that thing that I was saying about you know kind of these domain workshops being useful to everyone, that I was saying about you know kind of these domain workshops being useful to everyone. Mailchain, ethermail and LedgerMail, I believe, are integrated with all the service providers, so their utility isn't just with free name, you can utilize these if you have a UD domain, you can utilize these if you have a eth. So, yeah, again, if you've got these names and you've just been holding on to them, you know, hey, here's your chance to start using some of them. So, yeah, let's talk about what this is.
Speaker 2:What is Web3 email? Again, really simple concept to get. This isn't rocket science. It's basically wallet to wallet messaging, or a messaging platform that identifies and sends messages from wallet as an identifier to another wallet as an identifier. And I believe that there's and again, not super technical about this deep dive as much as you want to about the tech stack that you know encrypts or does any of that good stuff that encrypts or does any of that good stuff, but I'm pretty sure that it's probably protected on some level, as far as like, from being exploited or hacked or anything like that or again being encrypted.
Speaker 2:But basically it is the ability to send well, ability to locate and then send and receive private communications with another person or entity using a wallet address or web3 domain instead of a traditional email address or text app. So, um, yeah, instead of just texting somebody or emailing somebody at some point in your life in the future, uh, you may see, this is a better use of of the way that you communicate with people, and this is what this tool exists for. And again, um, we'll kind of go into, we'll dive in a little bit on the why, but that why is going to change dynamically as the space grows, as the space starts getting used more, as people start using these things more, as someone really puts out a killer use case that you can't deny, then all of this is going to become obvious. But we still speculate on the why. But again, what it is is basically that being able to message another person using an app connecting wallet to wallet, web through domain to web through domain and you would use this in lieu of using either texting email, whatsapp, however it is. You currently send messages to people. You would do this instead.
Speaker 2:Now, what's that? The how do you use and like? Again, in this case I'm going to be talking specifically about MailChain and going through their process, which could be completely different from the other ones, but the how do I use? You know, mailchain specifically for Web3 emails. One of the things I believe I pinned up at the top. I pinned up at the top one of the last tweet that I posted was a screenshot of what a message looks like when you receive it and when you open it in your inbox, and I'll post more screenshots, kind of. Again, this is a benefit of going to the workshop because you saw these, you know, kind of in real life, popped up, the boxes open up. But in the event, in this case, I'll try to do my best with screenshots, but I also try to show what the dialog box looks like. But basically, you use it the same way as you do regular email.
Speaker 2:The interface of MailChain is very similar to just a regular email account and mailbox. So if you're using email currently or like Gmail, you'll be familiar with what's on the left-hand side of the box or left-hand side of the page, which is typically your inboxes. You've got a spam folder, your trash, your archive. Well, those exact same things exist or are set up in this UI, so it really is kind of easy to get how to use this. So that part is going to be extremely familiar, which you know. Kudos to MailChimp again for not making something super difficult.
Speaker 2:I'm going to go through a little bit of the setup process, because the setup process obviously is going to be a little bit different than it is with traditional email, but there's some unique things that I also like about it as well. So when you and try to visualize with me or actually you know, if any of you are in front of your computer and kind of want to walk along or do any of this, they are at MailChaincom. So MailChaincom, you can get to their homepage. When you're on the homepage, you'll see a few things on here that I'm going to reference in a little bit, but what we're going to talk about now is the setup process. At the top bar, you're going to get two options. One of the options is going to be to sign up for free, which is if this is your first time there, that's the option that you're going to choose. You're going to go through the process and I'm going to describe and then, after you set up your account, you'll be able to just go to your inbox, which is the next option, which I'll describe. Like I said, what I think is pretty cool about that and it makes it actually usable.
Speaker 2:But, going back to the setup process, when you first create an account, it's going to ask you to set up a username and password. The username is going to be username you choose or that is available at MailChain you will have. This is going to be your kind of your standard identity. So one important thing to note about this is if you don't currently have or use a Web3 domain name as your digital identity. So one important thing to note about this is if you don't currently have or use a Web3 domain name as your digital identity, you could still use MailChain. Mailchain is an app that, again, it works with multiple naming services and it also is its own name service. So if you just want to use Web3 email to send and receive, again, decentralized messages, et cetera, you can do so even if you don't already have a digital identity, and so that is what you will set up as your username.
Speaker 2:So, in my case, and what you'll see at the top, I chose WinAirdrop at MailChain for obvious reasons. So you'll create that username and then you'll create your password. You'll create that username and then you'll create your password. Then the next step that I'll ask you to do and this is this is the unique part of the setup process, like when you set up a regular email, you used to have to type in like all kinds of things like oh, I forgot what it was like SMTP, whatever you guys are talking about. This is kind of like.
Speaker 2:This takes you back to here. In this case, you know, just like with anything blockchain, you've got to connect your wallet. So the way to add accounts outside of your, like I said, your your mail chain account, the way to add additional accounts or add additional identities to this account that is now set up, is through your wallet. So whatever wallet contains now that digital identity that you want to start using, you can connect it and then it will read that wallet and it will let you know what domains it will see. It will let you know what es are in there. It's going to let you know what b and bs are in there. It's going to let you know what free name domains are in there. Important thing Sometimes it does not pick up everything.
Speaker 2:So in the setup process, if you once it goes like I said, once you've connected the wallet that you that contains the digital identity that you're going to want to connect to this email If you don't see it, it does have a button that allows you to manually add it and then it will verify it. It'll see it in the wallet. Like it won't let you manually add domains that aren't in that wallet. Again, sometimes it just doesn't automatically see it, but you can always just type it in. Takes extra like three seconds, but during this, the point that I'm making is that at this stage, make sure you're verifying that all the identities that you may want to use again in, in, in in this mailbox that you may want to send emails from or have email sent to, just make sure you have those all added to that account and through that stage.
Speaker 2:And then what it also does once you get past that is it creates a key. So, just like a wallet or just like a blockchain wallet, you know the way to to access. If you ever lose you know your username or password or the way to log in to your wallet, you can always start another one or spin up that wallet somewhere else by using the private key. It's the same way that you can recover this account. So if you're ever not able to get into the account you use your name or password. I believe that you can use the private key to get back in. So that is kind of the last part of the process, and then that process that I described of adding these identities and, by the way, you can add more than one wallet to one account. So if you have, you know, 50 identities and you just feel like maybe you'll use all of them at some point in different wallets from the same account, you can actually just register more wallets and add those identities in so that they're connected to here.
Speaker 2:But with that being said, what that's going to look like from a UI perspective going back to the email interface is kind of like if you already like if you're in the G Suite, for instance, and you already have, like you own a business and you have like 10 emails already, like I'm that guy, right, I've got emails, you know web two email addresses for a lot of different things, and I use them all, but they usually show up in that left-hand bar and you're able to choose each one, and then each one is essentially its own mailbox. Well, the same here. Each of those identities that you add in here will essentially function as its own mailbox, which is super cool, and so you'll be able to go in there and see the mail that was sent to it, as well. As on the composition bar, when you're sending mail to someone else, you're able to choose which address you're sending it from, which is also cool. Now, I do have to say so. Just kind of continuing on and you'll get what I'm saying.
Speaker 2:For these features and the UI to work for the or, in order for this to really work in practice, the other person that you're sending mail to also needs to have a MailChain account, but, assuming that you are messaging someone else that is in MailChain, that you guys are connecting with each other using your digital identity. It is super cool that when you choose one of these Web3 domain addresses and you send mail from one person to another, that is how it actually shows up in their inboxes. If you've got winairdrop, it's going to show up as winairdrop and that's super cool. So really good again for people wanting to brand and really wanting to utilize your Web3 domain and shoot your identity and again just send and receive messages. Now, again for that communication for people, the person on the other end to see it be able to interact with you and for this to be usable, again, that person on the other end needs to have a MailChimp account. However, you can send mail to basically any Web3 domain name, whether they have a MailChimp account or not, and it'll just sit there until that person, at some point in the future, ends up logging in and connects that wallet, and then anything that was sent to that wallet will then populate. But, yeah, you can send I mean essentially messages to your favorite influencers, if you know their eth or anything like that, even if they're not on the account. They just will never see it if they don't Going back to.
Speaker 2:So you've logged in, you've connected your account, you're now in the mailboxes, you're ready to send and receive email. Everything is set up. Going back to, one of the things that I think is super cool on the login page is, once you've created an account, once you've connected your wallet. Once you've validated your addresses, once everything is set up the way that you like it. You've validated your addresses, once everything is set up the way that you like it, you're able to log in to your MailChain account from anywhere now, any device, anything that can connect to the internet, anything that has a browser. You simply just go to the appmailchaincom. You'll go to that login box at the top and you actually don't have to connect your wallet anymore. You're able to log in with the username and password that you set up initially, just like you can from any other email.
Speaker 2:And I think that's kind of a big deal because, like, even like a lot of the apps that we use now, you have to connect your wallet every time you actually want to use it. To execute, like some sort of Well, I mean, obviously, to execute a blockchain function, it needs to query your wallet and you need to sign a transaction. So I guess that's an important thing to know is that you're not triggering blockchain transactions when you're sending wallet to wallet messaging, because I don't think it's something that's actually happening on the blockchain. Again, for the other person to see this message and to send something back, they have to have a MailChain account. So the ecosystem or the messaging system itself exists within MailChain, so it's not triggering a blockchain transaction, which again now makes it usable in real life, because if every time someone wants to use or send an email or read an email, they have to connect the wallet. I mean, at some point.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we're hoping that that either gets adopted, you know, by the masses, just because of necessity, or it becomes more streamlined, you know, due to development that we create on our end. But that's the process now and that's probably the brick wall that we already have. Now we're getting people to utilize some of these things as having to manage again a wallet and then having to always connect with it and do all that good stuff. So being able to log into it from anywhere, on anything, in any computer, using just your username and password, it just makes it easier and more practical to be able to check return emails, anything like that. Easier and more practical to be able to check return emails, anything like that. So I think that's super cool. So that's a big thing to know. You add your accounts using your wallet but then, once you've added the accounts, you're able to use this without having to log in again. Okay, so that's pretty much how you use it. Again, you use it pretty much the same way as you would use any email or traditional messaging system.
Speaker 2:Not sure of the file capabilities that you're able to send. I've just been sending basic text messages and stuff like that back and forth to myself. I think I actually sent one to Divinon as well, one of our VIP community members, a little bit earlier, but I do believe you have the ability to send images and things like that. Again, you know, kind of on the management on the left-hand side, they do have a spam folder. So not sure in this case what ends up getting filtered into that spam folder. But again, you know people could send messages to anybody if they know your wallet address. So one of the questions I remember asking the CEO of MailChain when we were doing the AMA was how they planned to mitigate spam and things like that. And he said they had a plan. I forgot exactly what it was, but I mean, obviously this folder is here, so there's, there's something that we'll be able to sift or filter through it. And you know, keep you from seeing too much you don't want to see. But yeah, you utilize it just like you do a regular email, which is super cool, and again it connects to your Web3 identity.
Speaker 2:And now, kind of lastly, is the why would you want to use this versus, yeah, just texting somebody, or using WhatsApp or the hundred other ways that exist currently to send a message to somebody? And the obvious why is if you're in this space right now and if you have purchased TLDs on Freename, it's because you want people to embrace and start using Web3 domain names, because then they'll buy yours. I mean, it's really an obvious one, right? It's? If you own a motorcycle shop, you need to start riding a motorcycle so that people can see you, think it's cool and they want to buy your motorcycles. All right, doesn't matter. If the past 30 years you've only liked cars, it's time to become a motorcycle guy. That's really how this works.
Speaker 2:If you're investing in this space, again, it behooves you to learn about the utility that exists for your domains and then to really actually genuinely think it's cool. Right, use it and then tell other people it's cool and then they'll believe you because you're using it right. So that's number one, number one reason that I could possibly give for why you would want to utilize and start exploring these different email systems and also asking other people to use them so that you can get used to doing it. And the more you get used to doing it, perhaps you can provide feedback that makes it better or makes the or that the other the developer can use to make these more user right, like already. Again, you know the cool thing is being able to log in and use this without having the wallet. Maybe there's other ways you'll be able to make this easier for you know, again, a normal everyday person to start using it, because if a normal everyday person wants to use this, they will then also want a Web3 domain name to go with it so that they can send and receive communication. Right, kind of all makes sense, and if you own all the cool TLDs, they'll probably get a domain from you. So that's number one. Right, we have to begin normalizing using these utilities, even if there's again, like, no matter what they are, we're here in this space for a reason. You know I love the tech, so I'm always extremely bullish anytime a new utility comes out. But I know some people are here just to invest and, again, if it's just learning so that you can effectively communicate to another person the value of the names, then that's still the reason for why you need to learn and you need to use and need to figure out how these things work. So that part, the second thing, and then again you do need to refer to each individual platform's tech stack. The second thing, and then again you do need to refer to each individual platform's tech stack.
Speaker 2:I do not know exactly how they protect or encrypt information and some of this may just be again, you know, projecting what I think will eventually become like common sense in the future, but I would assume that blockchain communication well, in this case it doesn't trigger a blockchain transaction, but I would assume that these platforms that enable you to message each other are private and secure. Blockchain obviously has the ability to add, you know, an additional private and well, the private part, maybe not so much, but definitely the security part of your communication, but definitely the security part of your communication you know blockchain definitely has is that's what it exists for, Right? So I would assume that more iterations of this type of utility of communications between wallets, of using digital identity to message each other, will certainly create, you know, a type of security, or maybe, maybe they will be encrypted and private and ways to do that and create that communication, and I'm sure that it will rival the other platforms that exist in the Web2 space. So that would be another reason again speculating to the future for what I think will eventually become obvious for using Web3 email versus other messaging.
Speaker 2:One of the other things is going back to that spam thing. Right, and I think this was a part of the answer that I got from the ceo again, uh, definitely encourage you guys to dig back through that archive. I was talking about all those tech talks. It's in there and you'll be able to listen to that ama that I did uh believe his name is tim. Uh, with mail chain. Uh, very informative ama. But again, listen back to that to get the full answer.
Speaker 2:But leave one part of that answer is like spam that we receive now is just kind of a face full of ads or whatever that we just they just either get buried and we never see or even interacting with it. It does nothing for you, right? But as with everything blockchain, the ability to monetize you know whether you're seeding or interacting or you know if the person who is sending you spam has to pay if you open it, or something like that. I think I asked if that ability would exist and he said you know, to some extent maybe, right, but going back to the kind of entire point of me saying all that is the ability to potentially monetize, you know, ads or spam or communication, again, adding the blockchain element into it, connecting a wallet into it. You know, blockchain is decentralized finance and there may be a way to incorporate. You know again, you know, adding a price tag to messages, and it's not even an if I'm saying it like it doesn't exist already.
Speaker 2:Um, in the uh, what's it called? Uh, I use them all the time the cyber, the uh, the link three, okay, yeah, so you guys, uh, I've used my link three link forever. Um, that's like a decentralized link tree, but it's called link three and it Link3, and it was based on B2B. Now it's multi-chain. They created also their own what do you call it? A smart wallet that does account abstraction. So they've really grown technology-wise. And what they also did is they created a messaging system and their messaging system is monetized. In order for one account to message me, I think they have to pay like a quarter or a dollar or something like that, and then I can accept the message and accept the dollar, or if I don't accept the message, they don't pay it, or something like that. So monetized communication already exists, it being on more of a widespread and more of a, like I said, on an adopted level.
Speaker 2:I definitely see that coming. So, yeah, here's an opportunity to kind of again get used to what that is. You know, position yourself to I mean, you're not going to get rich from it, probably but position yourself to see what it feels like to get monetized, so that you can then effectively communicate that to somebody else as a benefit for why they should use it. Because, again, that's the big question that we all have to answer when we introduce this to somebody is the why. And then the last part and this is all pure speculation. But going back to MailChain's homepage, again, the primary utility and I explained this yesterday during the workshop and the primary utility and I explained this yesterday during the workshop the primary utility that we will probably utilize this for, or that we will introduce it to someone else for, is exactly what I just explained, which is, you know, messaging each other, pulling up a mailbox and sending it to each other.
Speaker 2:However, you know, mailchain at least has created other ways for developers to integrate this technology, their tech stack, into their own platforms, I would assume, to create your own private communication within your own dApps, et cetera. Like I said, pure speculation. But the other why is, if you're developing something that needs to utilize the centralized messaging or wall-to-wallet messaging, you can look through their docs and potentially integrate them and they have that solution for you. And again, that why should tie into the why you're developing your dApp in the first place? Because we're here to build a Web3 and push this space forward and here to help introduce people to the benefits of blockchain and Web3 technology. That's the why, right, it's the why is so that we can get people to understand the value of Web3 domains and digital identities, so that they'll want their own. So, yeah, so if you are a developer and you're looking to integrate more things that make this make sense into your platform, mailchain has an integration.
Speaker 2:I'm not sure, again, you know what Ledger Mail and Ethermail have available for developers. I'm sure that they have something, again you know, focused on MailChain in this case, because we had to focus on one, but please do your research. You know we are compatible with, again, mailchain, ethermail and Ledger Mail. I believe all three of those platforms are also compatible with other naming services as well. So feel free to visit. You know those websites and those communities individually to figure out how you know exactly how to use, you know their specific, you know products and stuff like that.
Speaker 2:But yeah, like I said, this workshop in particular is what meant to be super long. This is pretty much an easy one, not rocket science. Again. Web3 email looks, works pretty much just like regular email and it's usable. You can use this today. You can go to MailChain, you can connect your wallets, you can add your Web3 domains and you can start sending messages and receiving messages right now. So, yeah, and that's the purpose again of these workshops is that I don't think a lot of people realize how usable these things are currently. And again, you know, while this is early, while you're having these conversations with people, while you're making this make sense, you know some of us really need to start having a conversation outside of meme coins with people.
Speaker 2:And so here's another one, right, here's one you get to have. Well, how about we start replacing some of the things that you're using with other things, right, and seeing how that works? And then some people start to grasp the concept that way. So, again, it pays for you to learn how to use this so that you can show it to other people. So we again, as I explained about our schedule. So we again, as I explained about our schedule, these are taking place every Friday. I will announce the next subject soon for our VIPs. Of course, this will take place next Thursday and I will announce that in the VIP community soon.
Speaker 2:But thank you guys for attending another Web3 domain workshop. I encourage you guys, if you guys aren't already part of the Freedom community and do want to join and learn more about purchasing your own TLD or about what SLDs and TLDs and all that stuff means, and to see the rest of the utility of your free name. You can join them directly on Telegram. They do have an open community as well, as you know, the VIP community, where there is more utility. And then also, you know, definitely encourage you guys to follow us Again. Past two years, done over 100 of these things. Again, you know we we need to make the space welcoming for new people to come into it. So you know they want to use it and they want to be here, which again creates a positive, productive market for all.
Speaker 2:I love the tech Also. You know I do love, I guess you'd say, building and becoming prosperous. I do love, I guess you'd say, building and becoming prosperous. So it all works hand in hand. You can't just bring people here, sell them something and then expect them to figure out how to use it. So we need a mix of education as well as all the other stuff. And so, yeah, here to build. Definitely encourage you guys to join our community to learn more about these. Big focus on education. Big focus on education. And again, if you want your very own premium domain name, we do own the dot d, gen dot, five eights, which is 888888, getting tongue twister dot, d5, wallet dot x, chain dot, spaces, host dot, gamer tag, amongst many more. Feel free to take your pick. Um, in about 45 minutes we are going to hop on to free names, web through domain well, talk, which we do every single Friday. I also encourage you guys to follow me over there. Again, focused on your mission, not your condition. Happy Friday and thank you for attending another Tech Talk.
